I think a great crowd can make all the difference. I had a BLAST the night before but this time around, the crowd was just way more into it and as Eils said after the show, Damien absolutely feeds off the audience reactions. So don't be shy Damienites, Damien like's an interactive bunch! Indy wore that gold dress she wore at Blacktown and looked gorgeous and Damien kept saying she had borrowed his dress. Infact I think he said something along those lines 3 times...! When he told the story about "the wall" at school, he said how he went through the girls garbage to which of course, many of us yelled out STALKER and then Damien said he better not say too much more with camera's there!

At least I didn't get out of my chair to dance this time Just popped along and sang along from my comfy seat I seriously cannot help it....especially during Wild World, it gets me going everytime! You have me worried now Shims...hehehe...you and Womby up there giggling...how bad was I??? (insert biting fingernails smiley here) I love how on both nights, when Damien tells the story about getting the lyrics of Vincent wrong "flaming floors" instead of "flowers", once he gets to the line, he puts this massive emphasis on FLOWERS and we gave the hugest cheer and he smiles and gets distracted! I love that too - I love the "Flaming floors" lol, the image is in my mind, the song is so painterly, it now actually throws me when I hear "Flaming Flowers" and we all cheer when he gets to that line, love it lol lol lol no Carla we are just teasing you

Oh Carla yes, the audience was such an important element last night because the energy was flying back and forth between the room and Damien constantly and he was really drawing from it and going up another level again - just stunning!!!

"Vincent" has to have a mention too - honestly, it went from hysteria with the stories and Celebration and purposely crazy dancing to sublime stunning brilliance. I don't know what I can say - Damien is a totally unique performer, just so special Oh, wow, I know just what you mean - he just has everyone right there with him, and you could be screaming with laughter one moment and bawling from the beauty of the music the next. What glorious memories! *can not wait to see this on TV* ;D How wonderful, that we will all get to relive the concert experience on the same night, and that people who couldn't go will get to see it firsthand as well!

I am just remembering now, Damien was starting to sing "Hallelujah" either last night or the night before (OMG mind is starting to go now.... ) and it was all sublime and serious, when something got him going and he cracked up, and got the giggles, actually I think it was last night and the bill arrived at the table right in front of him and he was saying "Now, don't argue over the bill" and made a joke about the perils of sitting in the front row where he can see what's going on (which immediately plunged us into terror over what discussions he may have overheard at various stages the evening before when we had the same table ) So, he was cracking up and then said "I have to concentrate now" and started playing "Hallelujah" again and everyone cracked up - ah it was happening all night, all these funny spontaneous moments

Carla I had a huge smile on my face watching you bopping along in your seat and singing with such expression Don't worry I was doing exactly the same thing - Shims and I were swaying in unison most of the night - I only hope I wasn't piercing your eardrums Shims with my awful singing I only have a couple of pics of you Carla (no video ) and they are actually quite blurry because I was zooming in so far but I will post them over in the password thread so you can see ;D I am trying to work here but just can't seem to concentrate - still in teh coma after such a wonderfully unexpected and magical night I feel a bit like Cinderella going to the ball - I even had to rush back to the carpark by midnight so I didn't turn into a pumpkin have to walk all the way home because my car had been locked in

oh and Kami - Tassie got a mention several times throughout the evening. Damien kept saying how good the Tassie audiences were whenever he launched into one of his little singalong contests ;D

I am having trouble concentrating on my work too, had better triple check everything today! It's all like some incredible dream now!

Yes Tassie was the benchmark for everything Damien did last night - he mentioned Tassie constantly in the singing comps - I was going to mention it but couldn't think of the word for "benchmark"... Oh also meant to say I am a proud member of Damien's WINNING TEAM as declared by Indi Our half of the room rocked, naturally, we had teh man as our captain Very funny with Damien saying that he couldn't fit into his dress any more, and Indi had taken it Womby oh it brought back memories of my first ever Damien concert being with you and swaying along just like that first night at Swoon City Lol yes Carla I reckon we will give you a run for your money for your title of "Sitting down Dancing Queen"

Lol I laughed so much when Damien stopped his intro to Hallelujah and then he looked down at the table under his nose and smiled. Then he said something about "When the bill comes there's always an argument... I'll take it. No, I'll take! Let me take care of it..." Everybody just looked at the table and laughed their head off. GAWD! They would've been so embarrassed for stopping the show He had chuckle about it all too cause he had to step back take a couple of deep breaths then you could really see him pull all his energy in to focus... just amazing to watch.

Yes, Roey. We were all so worried. So many times - knowing which parts Damien really has to dig deep for - I held my breath until he got it. And he did every single time. Hallelujah was one of the main ones. It was so excruciatingwith worry last night but because he somehow absolutely nailed each performance - it was just totally BRILLIANT as well.
