Ah, Mysterri! What a lovely report, thanks for all the little details, I really enjoyed reading it!! I think our DH's should come to these events with a prior warning - "you may be abandoned or embarrassed at any point during the evening".... I did the same, though not on hands and knees!! and that sign - what a joke!!! no wonder the crowd was a bit quiet!! I can't help but think of Womby's pic of the pointy toed boots with your description of yourself crawling on hands and knees down the front! You didn't get a little nudge from Damien when you headed back, did you???

No Tina there was no pointy toe nudge. I really don't think Damien saw me crawling around on the floor. At least I hope he didn't!

Now that is SUCH a shame that you didn't get to see Damien, Terri! Its a particular shame because we know he doesn't get to Canberra that often ( or Queensland for that matter... ). I would be QUITE sure, though, that he wasn't avoiding you deliberately!! Not our Queen of Pretteh!! Apart from the fact that he loves us all, (gees, he doesn't even avoid ME, does he??!! ), he knows this forum would not be half as beautiful as it is if it wasn't for the way you have helped us all to learn how to do pretty graphics. I am sure he is very sorry to have missed you this trip, sweetie. BIG ! Just make sure you insist on TWO hugs in Melbourne to make up for missing out this time.....

Mysterri, I just loved reading your (second) report, what a fantastic night you had, and a few different songs too. Bwhaha! you crawling around on the floor, the things we do for our "official photos" I'm glad your DH enjoyed the show too ;D

Thanks Christyl. I was armed with Hyp's songbook and the WWL book for Damien to sign but I wasn't cunning enough to slip a note into each of them and ask George to pass them onto Damien. I so wanted Damien to sign my artwork in the songbook and also my contribution to the WWL book. In hindsight I should have been waving the books around in front of George's nose. It would be great to have 20/20 hindsight wouldn't it. I think I was more upset about how I was treated by George than anything else. I'm just hoping that by the time the Melbourne concert comes around in October that all after show meetings are not cancelled altogether. Thanks Smiley. Yep, I laughed and cried too.

Thanks Roxy. Yes, DH did enjoy the show. He was laughing, clapping and singing along and he said afterwards that it was a great night and he thoroughly enjoyed the show. He even had a chat with Jimmy about guitar stuff. It sounded like they were talking in another language to me but they seemed to understand each other. ;D

Ah, Mysterri, I feel your pain, but your report was great. The image of you on hands and knees going throught the crowd is just a hoot Obviously if you have a fav song the trick is to yell out LOUDLY! I did call out for Without You in Adelaide but not with enough volume I see now Fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you in Melbourne for a meeting.....................

Thanks Kazza and Kath. It's all good though. I was very fortunate to see Damien live for the second time in eight months. There are people out there who would love to see him in concert and can't for whatever reason, and Belinda I'm sending bigs hugs to you right now.

...What did Emily think of the concert? Did she know the songs from Catch The Wind?... Emily certainly did know the songs. She has the video and plays it regularly. Mind you, being 13 yrs of age she is also into rock bands that I have never heard of before. In fact she is going to Sydney soon to attend a rock concert of one of the bands, but for the life of me I don't know the name. She mentions it all the time, but it is just sounds gobbledegook to me.
