Once again there was a healthy mixture of male/female audience members. On the table next to us was a group who were really getting into it. When Indi came onstage (3rd song I think), one of the males almost wet himself. He gave Indi a very enthusiastic welcome to the stage  He was sitting one down and beside me, so I patted him on the back and said something to him along the lines of aren't you pleased that you are sitting on this table now?. The female that was behind me would fit in perfectly with here. She was waving her arms (one black eye *check*), singing along, toot tooting, and having a totally enjoyable time. I handed her a  card at the end of the night. She couldn't stop raving to me about how great Damien is etc.    She was soooo I am pleased that she passed on the above information to me because up until then I hadn't realised    It was a shame when it was all over. It was lovely having Di and Princey there, along with MaggieMay, Carla and family, Shims and b/f, Nuffy, 0z Jr and Roseapple73 and Dawn who managed to eventually find the place and didn't end up in Darwin    Thank you one and all and especially THANK YOU to Damien. Told the story of how he hated music as a young (handsome) boy. In fact, extremely hamdsome, shy guy, - ruggedly handsome and then went into Annie's SongTold the story of how today they bought a dog. It is a Moodle (Maltese Poodle) called Billy. Damien and Eileen have been playing with it all day and the boys have been told 'to go and play in your rooms' Guitar Man / Ladder to Heaven (the lyrics were changed to the shops being shut etc I He is just getting funnier and funnier, isn't he?! Thanks Braffy and Shims for remembering all these little details to share with us. As for the Spider...  I'm with you, Smiley! But it was a really cute fan gift  Damien obviously isn't scared of spiders! *
*(Would not have been a good look to have Teh Idol run screaming from the stage....
....but then again, he is obviously made of sterner stuff since he doesn't run screaming from crazed Damienites...  ) |

Thanks for the great reports, ladies ;D So happy D is receiving rapturous applause for his stirling ND efforts, especially...and warm velvet is a gorgeous description, Shims *swoon*..but EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!! I'm not going ANYWHERE near the photo gallery if there's a BIG spider piccy!   *cowers in a corner* I'm NOT joking...I'm a total arachnophobe! |

there were a lot of teenagers there as well ... one young lass, came squeeeeeeing up to the bar (where you picked up water jugs, etc) to announce to her sister that she had the album ... her sister replied, wow, but get out of here, pls! ;D

Well, I finally made it to Dee Why, I was so excited to be meeting everyone. Carla, Dawn, Di & Braffy it was great seeing you again and Oz, Daniella, Shims & b/f, Nuffy, Maggiemay and Carla's mum & sis, it was wonderful to finally meet you all. It was a great night, Damien was in fantastic form, great setlist which Braffy posted earlier, he was happy and sang beautifully. It was great meeting Eils again, she was telling us about their new Moodle, Billy and is always so lovely. We were lucky enough to see Damien as he was leaving the venue, he saw us from inside and waved, he then ran out and came to us and we all got a  and a small chat. |

just an incidental ... but in my mind a biggie ... I was waiting inline last night for a dinner pick ... ummm, no idea what the real name is here ... but I was in a line ... The line was really long ... and the people to the left and right (in front and behind) were talking to each other ... I could not help but smile ... the crux (as in the point being) was that the lady in front spent 300 bucks voting for D and .............. she does not even have a mobe or INTERNET ... lol ... she just is a genuine fan!! Just love it! |

Thanks for the set list Braffy and Dmac! And loved the reports everyone... am I and Lady Di the only ones left to post? There's not much more to say except... wow!! I mean WOW!!  I was determined to take a photo or two this time and ring Tina (just because I wanted to) this time with a song... but, sorry Tina   I fell into teh spell again (like Friday night) and just shut my eyes half the time and forgot everything including the photos. I realised too late when it finished and Braffy was talking about texting messages  Well, I finally made it to Dee Why, I was so excited to be meeting everyone. Carla, Dawn, Di & Braffy it was great seeing you again and Oz, Daniella, Shims & b/f, Nuffy, Maggiemay and Carla's mum & sis, it was wonderful to finally meet you all. Although those of us, who left after talking to Eileen, actually missed out on seeing Damien, it was really nice to hear the others' encounter with him. That he actually changed direction to come back and greet them was just proof (despite what my hubby claims) that we don't frighten him Mind you, when Carla told us that if we had looked out the window (where the rest of us were sitting upstairs) then we would've seen the whole meet-up downstairs... I think we really would've freaked Damien out if he saw us all flattened against the full length glass, fogging it up, squeeing sighing!! |
