Lol Rivers, we do have all the intentions of being "cool but pleased to meet" someone, who let's face it, is just a normal guy. But by the time we get to the table the thoughts of "normal" suddenly becomes Super-Normal - as in a SUPER guy because he's just so normal under such abnormal conditions and with such wonderful gifts... and we end up with brain and muscle meltdown well, just speaking for myself

Hmmm so Damien did read this thread! *Runs off to edit/delete anything inappropriate I may have said.* Thats it Carrickfergus was the one he did a beautiful job of it the Irish crowd really kept him on his toes requesting all sorts of things. One woman kept requesting The Prayer every time he asked what they might like she yelled out The Prayer and she was serious poor love,Damien had to explain that was the little fella who sang that talk about laugh, but she still kept asking. Kazza Rivers, thanks for your pics, they're great! I really appreciate the thumbnails too, as another on dial-up. kazza so glad your 2nd night was so great!! Great set there, Damien spotted you and you had another lovely meet-up and chat as well! Even mentioned the SOL! Would love to know the other Irish songs if this might help - does Fields of Athenry ring a bell, do you think he played that? Or Carrickfergus even? Or Fisherman's Blues? Or maybe the Blower's Daughter perhaps? Or...none of the above? So great to hear that he had WWL and One More Time there as well Thank you so much kazza, we loved getting all the news from the Gaels shows! Hopefully you can have a good rest on Sunday and just dream about all the lovely times of the last 2 days

Maybe she has every confidence that Damien can sing anything - even without preparing Thanks Kazza... just keep adding when you think of something. It's all good did you notice if people were buying both cd's and/or OMT?

I was just trying to count he did over 20 songs last night I think I forgot to mention he did Father & son. River Believe me it will be easier the 2nd time you meet him. He is so giving of his time,on both nights when he said there were a couple of choices for the next numbers when he said BILYW the first night I was the only one who whooped it up the crowd were like no mind you they hadn't heard the album yet so I yelled back at the crowd have you heard him sing it yet....My daughter laughed when I told her that she says so you heckled the crowd I said well I didn't see it like that, and Saturday night I was the only one again who whooped it up when he suggested it so he says looks like your on your own,but I knew he would sing it,it's he's favoutite,so when he got to sing it he says I'm going to sing one of my favourites from the new album it's called BILYW so of course I start whooping it up and he winks at me,cheeky bugger.

Good for the sales... the other stuff won't dilute the CTW sales at all -if that was Sony's worry... They should just keep checking with us if they need any consumer behaviour advice... plenty of consumer behaviour here... or Kazza, is it mis-behaviour? Lol Baby I love YOUR way.. I'm sure the crowd'll remember the song after that session

And yes Champo is wonderful! He has been really kind and giving to us here at DLO and we do very much appreciate it. Thanks again for your wonderful reports. Also, you probably noticed, I moved this into our NEW AREA! We now have a tour thread that will stay up for the duration of the tour and as each show approaches, the thread will be unlocked for reports.

Although I'm usually ok on the exterior, even if inside I'm going And woohoo, go Eric! This is a really good pairing I can tell! I wonder if Damien will make him dance too eventually, like he did with his last band? All the same, I will miss Paul. He's a crack up Perhaps next tour! Paul, you'd better polish up those moves! ;D Edit: Thanks, christyl! ;D

Kazza Carrickfergus!! Lucky girl, I would love to hear Damien sing that one and how he does it, it's an old fav song of mine but I've never heard him sing it. Can imagine though, he would do a beautiful version I love the Hothouse Flowers version. Lol about the other request These shows sounded great, very lively audiences too by the sounds!!! So great that you all had some nice time with Damien afterwards as well! Rivers I hope you'll also mention your aka to him as well next time *oooh I like this new tour forum - very nice*
