Have just listened to Somewhere Only We Know. I have heard the original version before but for some reason all I could think of was Jacob Butler's version. Yes, Damien should definitely sing this one. Also listened to Kiss From A Rose. I know that song but I didn't know that's what it's called. Damien could do a really funtarstic version of that I bet. Especially the high parts.

unable to resist I may as well add my 2c worth too I love the set-lists I'm seeing in the reports back so far, here are some songs that I would also love to hear as well "The Blower's Daughter""And I Love You So""Time In A Bottle""One" by U2 "She's A Mystery to Me" by Bono/Orbison "Love Is A Place I Dream of" - Luka Bloom (anyone not familiar with this one, I found a lovely duet version here with Luka & Sinead O'Connor, though it's originally a solo. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rla2t21TdYc ) Have heard Luka sing this at the Basement and the entire room was spellbound, it's so beautiful and being about crossing the world to be with the one he loves, it would be a perfect song for Damien To finish my ones, here's a special favourite of mine. I've loved this one forever and it's great with acoustic guitar. Would love so much to hear Damien do this one day and would love to see what treatment he'd give it "It's Because I Love You" - the Master's Apprentices www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKE2hmgzUgo

Oh Shims, I love this song! Thanks for the Youtube link and what a great video. I love the black and white filming, the hairstyles and fashions of that time are amazing and it was great to see a young Glen Wheatley on guitar waving his long blond locks around. ;D Gawd the memories this song evokes. Heading down to Palm Beach in Sydney on a Sunday morning with the car radio blaring. Windows wound down, the breeze in our hair, our little bright yellow Volkswagen Beetle sitting in bumper to bumper traffic all the way and everyone singing along to It's Because I Love You... Do what ya wanna do, be who ya wanna be, yeah...*Sigh.* They were great times. I can just imagine Damien singing this song and what a sensation he would be! From the very start of the guitar intro I can just picture Damien getting into it and wouldn't he be phenomenal when he started to sing. I wonder if this was one of the many songs that didn't make the final cut on CTW? Maybe he could release another album with all of the songs that didn't make it onto CTW. I'd buy it. ;D

Just incredible, for me it also evokes heading down to the beach in Sydney and singing along (ironic since I think the video was filmed on Hampstead Heath in London ). I just love the look of the clip too and also how the song has 2 almost entirely distinctive parts - it's really almost like 2 songs! It quietly builds, then totally changes and that big chorus kicks in. What an all-time classic Aussie song it is. Can imagine Damien doing the acoustic part so beautifully then belting out that famous chorus!

Well, I'm sure Damien knows how much I love his "Beautiful" and by the sounds of the last performances I'm just going to expire when he does it... so please sing Beautiful for me , Damien [/color] I'd love Longer, Baby I Love Your Way ( mostly just you please ), You Shine Like The Sun, 22 Steps, The Long Way Back (your preferred way ), Father and Son, Time in a Bottle, Everybody's Talking, Annie's song, Vincent ... from the Idol stuff: Creep, High and Dry and Wicked Game are still favourites... any random songs you want to throw in... Oh yes! Never TEar Us Apart ;D I've probably missed some others I'll regret not mentioning specially but as I've said elsewhere (?) I know I'm going to love everything/anything you sing and there just isn't enough time in one concert to do everything!

Roxy, that's the PLAN! Yes Somewhere Only we Know is definitely a song I can imagine Damien singing! I think The Basement crowd would go off with songs like Never Meant to Fail, Never Tear Us Apart, Creep and Crying. Some great suggestions from everyone here. Seriously, I am happy no matter what Damien sings of course. I am just getting a bit carried away! Carla I'll add this too to my list Somewhere Only we Know by Keane that's an awesome song. and Carla, if you keep this up....we'll have Damien singing for 3 hours straight! Oh Shims, I have just watched the clip from the Masters Apprentices. It takes me way back. Gee the times were good then. So carefree. I also watched the Twilights with Cathy Come Home and Needle in a Haystack. I loved the Twilights. Gawd! Just abut every Australian band around that time was awesome. Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs were SUPREME though ;D

I was just listening to Damien's acoustic version of "Who You Are" (the B-side of his 22 Steps single) and fell in love with it again. Although the full band version (on the single) was great to hear with them rocking the song out, I much prefer this acoustic version because I like to feel the words. And the acoustic way does it for me. For those who haven't got the single this is Damien's acoustic preview on his Official Forum: www.damienleith.com.au/musicbox/home.do?bclid=325389881So, Damien, it would be so exciting to hear you sing "Who You Are" in full, acoustically, sometime... this tour or the next originals album?

It's so great to see Damien mixing up the set list on most nights too. They have all been fantastic! I think my fave would have to be Capers I think it was? Never Meant to Fail and Never Tear us Apart in the same night? Although Come to Me...wow!! Shame he can't sing to us for 4 hours and do all of them?

Same here SJ. Come To Me is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and I can remember trying to coax the radio DJ's in Ireland to play it when we were requesting NOML ad nauseum via email last year. Not one of them played it and understandably so, due to the fact that NOML was the song Sony wanted to break the barrier to No. 1 in Ireland. If only they'd played Come To Me!

Some of my fav memories from Swoon City are of Damien playing Come to Me and the only accompaniment being his foot tapping in time on the stage - was just beautiful
