Damien - I brought my nine year old daughter to your show last night (5 June). She loves your music (so do I). I was worried she might be a bit restless (I think she was the only child there) but as soon as you started singing she was mesmerised! She loved singing along with you. You sang some of her favourites so she was thrilled. When she is older and people ask what was the first concert she ever went to she can say 'Damien Leith.' Thanks for a great night from both of us. Love Sacha.

Wow Sacha, what a great concert you chose to initiate your daughter into the live entertainment scene. Just more proof that Damien appeals to all. I am surprised that your daughter was allowed in. I thought it was an 18+ venue. She is certainly one very lucky little girl.

Have finally figured out how to reply! Thanks for your replies. The rules at Manchester Lane for children was very confusing. At moshtix in one part it said 'This is an 18+ venue' and in another part said children could attend if accompanied by an adult and had a dinner ticket. So I rang Manchester Lane and they said children could attend if they had a dinner ticket. However, get this - when we arrived I was then told that, according to their license, she would have to leave when the kitchen closed at 11pm and therefore we would miss the last 10 - 15 mins of the show - I wasn't happy! However, Damien finished right on 11pm so all was fine. Did Damien come out after the show? I didn't realise he did this or I would have waited around a bit longer.

That's a bit confusing isn't it Sasha, yes Damien came out after the show and did signings and photo's, if you could have waited a bit longer you could have met him, he is very generous with his time and I'm sure your daughter would have been thrilled, he is great with children

We are going to see Damien this time around as well and I had a similar problem with the 18+ part. But all seems well as long as she doesn't drink

I can't believe I missed out an the opportunity to meet D / have a photo taken/ put my hand on any part of him. My daughter would have loved to meet him also - but I'm mostly thinking about myself in this instance! Hopefully there will be another opportunity at another concert in the future. Has he only done this on this tour? I went to other shows in his previous tours at bigger venue (Crown) - did he do it then as well?

Hi KLD - this was at Manchester Lane. Was a bit confusing if it was 18+ or not but it turned out if you were under 18 you could go if you had a dinner ticket and were with an adult who also had a dinner ticket. It seems like the dinner section is sort of classified as a restaurant rather than a club (but only while the kitchen is open). My daughter seemed to be the only young child there - but maybe there was some 16 or 17 year olds.
I only went to the one concert in Melbourne - thought that would give me a 'fix' but I was wrong - has left me pining for more! Am vaguely considering if it would be crazy to drive to the ACT for the concert there!
