How do I access all the parts of the forum?
You need to be registered and logged in to both read and post in many of our forums here.

Okay...I'm registered and logged in...but it says I need a password to access the Secret Plans and Organiser forums! Whats so secret about them anyway?!
For the Secret Plans and Organiser forums, you do need a current password for access, and you need to PM (Personal Message) an administrator or mod for this. Currently, this would be Neski, Roxychic, Carla, and The Braff. Generally speaking, it would be nice if you had a few posts under your belt before making this request. Possibly around 100 posts would be acceptable, and we would hope that most of those are made in Damien Headquarters to show your interest here. We would also like you to be a regular posting member.
For the Concert & Apperances Thread, the password is there for your privacy and safety. It changes periodically, so you will need to keep in contact with staff for access. This part of the forum is for members to organise meetups etc so this is a privilaged area to those members who have at least 100 or more posts and who also post regulary.
The Secret Plans forum isnt for plotting world domination or anything quite so sinister...it was actually created for planning a birthday suprise for Damien! Similar 'plans' are discussed there still..and once again, contact a mod for the password. And no Damien, you may not have the password.
The Action Station: Shhhh thread is for promotion purposes only.
But I'm new! How am I supposed to have made posts?!
Its okay...we dont require you to write a novel, its just nice to get to know our new members a little! A brief hello post is always welcome in the New Members section and an easy way of getting people chatting with you.
Where can I just chatter to other members? Do you have a chat room?
We dont have a chat room here, but we do have a chat thread in the Members Lounge called "The Big Group Hut". Any thread that starts with this phrase is where members meet to talk casually.
A word of warning for the uninitiated though: on busy nights, the Hut thread can move very quickly - it is very easy for members chatting there to miss posts. If you have posted in the hut (and we strongly encourage it, its a great place to make friends) and no-one has responded, dont be discouraged. Try again, and make it clear that you are there and ready to talk - someone will take notice!
Why is there a new hut thread? What happened to all those posts I made there last night?
On this forum, once a thread reaches 1000 posts it needs to be locked and archived away. The Hut threads can sometimes reach this total in only a few days...but dont worry, your posts have not disappeared. Old Hut threads are archived in their own subforum in the Members Lounge, and are available for members to read. Please ask a forum staff member for details.

Yup he does, and we're pretty happy about it
He has a special forum where you can read all his messages and comment on them, strangely entitled "Messages from D and Family" ..and yes, as the name suggests, it also incledes messages from some generous and caring family members;)
If you wish to write to him however, use the "Messages to the Man" forum ...it keeps things tidy!

Hell no! We are most definitely an unofficial fan forum, run by fans for fans.
Damien Leith, his family and his management have no direct input or control into the content or running of this site. He is a member only, just like you.
How do I get a little picture under my name, or one of those big pictures under my posts?
The little picture under your name is called an avatar, and you can choose your avatar by modifying your profile (if you click on your username, you will see a link to "modify your profile".
For more information on how to do this, please see this thread about avatars, and this thread about how to post images on the forum.
Similarly, in the modify profile section you can chose your "signature", which finishes every post you make. It doesnt have to be an image...it can be text, a smiley..anything you can type in there. Again, here is a link for help with adding a signature and posting an image on the forum.
But how do you get your signature images the right size and shape? And how do you make them all pretteh? I'm not so good at graphics
Never fear...in the Graphics Section you will find threads that offer ready made signatures and avatars for use.
Do read the conditions of use carefully though. They do vary for each creator, but generally you need to host the image yourself (click here for advice on how to do that) and credit the artist or forum in some way. Just follow the instructions, and all will be good.
Be aware...just because some signatures are offered for use, it doesnt mean that any signature on the board is up for grabs. Remember, if you did not create it, you need permission to use it.
If you are interested in learning how to make your own, there are also tutorials in the graphics section that give simple step by step guides for signature creation.
Can I restrict which members send me Personal Messages?
Yes...in your Personal Messenger, there should be an option on the far right called "preferences". Clicking on this option should give you a facility to block certain, or all members from sending you Personal Messages. The instructions are easy to follow, and this list can be amended at any time.
