Christyl was there- We only saw Chris breifly before the show- she didn't want to sit out in the sun- and then afterwards she met up with some friends and was sharing a table with them. Damien was on fire again- I was really taken by how beautiful his voice really is, at this concert. He just has so much control. ;D It was so funny with the sunscreen cause he kept asking if it was all rubbed in...and we were saying "Yes!" and laughed then realised it made his face look white so we were looking a bit strange and he kept looking at us and laughing and then said to everyone.."I don't trust these ladies down the front! " and asked the audience again - all the while looking down at us and laughing.... Then he said "Slip, Slap, Slop!" And everyone cracked up ...so he joked about that as well... We had a lovelly Irish lady come up to us after the show...she said she thought we looked like we'd be the one's to ask! She had 2 of D's CD's and was hoping to get them signed but we told her he hasn't been doing any signings...so we told her about the forum and I gave her a DLO card and she also asked about Damien's book. She thought it was non-fiction - anyway we filled her in & told her another one will be coming out next year too. She's on to it! She kept saying how fantastic he was...and we saw her a couple of times after that- and she kept saying it over & over There were plenty of D fans there- you could hear the excited chatter after the show- they were all smitten. I turned around a few times during the show and there was a burly looking guy sitting there mesmerised and singing along with Damien to all the songs! The girls have pretty much covered it, and I've just this minute arrived home after a long drive...so will go play with my photos for a while.. Feeling very sad it's all over ..... loved our big group hug at the end ...but we have had the most fantastic time and have great memories to hold on to...and of course we'll eagerly await all the new reports from the next concerts!

Thanks so much for the report Smiley I always love your reports... Can't wait to see your photos. Sounds like Damien was in great humour and he sure did look good in Roxy's pics. I realise he must have been so tired but it doesn't show in the photo's

Sorry for Hyp, Lyn and Oz and hope you all get to go to another show soon. ;D It was so funny with the sunscreen cause he kept asking if it was all rubbed in...and we were saying "Yes!" and laughed then realised it made his face look white so we were looking a bit strange and he kept looking at us and laughing and then said to everyone.."I don't trust these ladies down the front! What hilarious and scandalous things you get up to! How can Damien sing under those conditions... I just don't know. Sis... "Take your shirt off" - you didn't say it loud enough Thanks for such colourful reporting. I wonder how many are going for seconds - as in another show because of the success of this whole weekend... after all, Sydney and Victoria's only a little further south and WA is just a little bit to the left on the map

Braffy I was going to add my info about the Tarra Concert to that thread but I saw you bet me to it! also that I asked Indie if she would join up and also write us a report on it I don't think she will, but it was nice of her and Eric to let us know how well it went. Sounds like they had a late night too Did we mention that there was no interval in this gig? I was so wanting/needing one it wasn't funny. (remember we had been sitting there for a while drinking loads of water/coke) I didn't want to get up and leave in the middle of the show while D was singing, and I was feeling soo uncomfortable by the time the show ended. I was distracted through most of the concert and I wanted to yell out...Stop I need to pee!! then at the end of the show I bolted to the loo and there was a friggen line a mile long!! Can you believe this place (and it was big) only had one toilet!! Sorry Damien if I didn't appear to be swaying or clapping as much as usual...but I was a tad scared to get too excited!. I want Damien to come back to Queensland! I wish he could come every month and do a show for us! now that would be nice

I know that uncomfortable feeling Roxy. There was no interval at the Hunter Valley either.

I awoke at 5:30am on Sunday as I was so excited and all I could think of was seeing Damien again. I arrived at the Loganlea train station where Sister and Roxy picked me up and from there we drove to Harrigans which took us about half an hour and so we arrived at Harrigans at around 10:45am. We had hoped we could go outside to where the concert would be but were told that we were not allowed to until 1:00pm and so by this time Smiley had arrived and we sat down and had a coffee and a chat. Time seemed to go by so quickly and so by about 12:00 they started letting everyone through and so we rushed outside to get our spot right in front of the stage. Poor Sister, we left her behind as she was up getting coffees. We spread out our blankies and made sure no one could get anywhere in front of us. They had a barbeque going outside and so we decided we would try it out. We had a little picnic. We were a little worried that by sitting in the sun it would get too hot but the breeze made it bearable. 2:00pm the support act came on "Bind" and played for about an hour. They were not too bad actually. They played a lot of slow songs and by being out in the sun for a couple of hours I was starting to feel a little sleepy but when the Irish Dancers came on they brightened me up a bit and were fabulous. Then the Irish host I think who belongs to Harrigans came back on to fill in time telling jokes and he played a couple of songs. I think he may have had a thing for Sister. ;D By this time it was after 3:00pm and I wishing Damien would hurry up and come on. Damien finally made it onto the stage at about 3:30pm wearing all black with his shirt tucked in to his belt buckle. Very nice. It was a shame that by this time the sun was right in his eyes . He was sweating a lot and I just wish that one of us had brought a towel so we could have went up and wiped the sweat away. ;D Eric's guitar playing was fantastic especially him playing behind his back whilst Damien sang La Bamba. Indie was fantastic as always, especially with the shaker. Damien gave us a few sexy moves. Not too many but as the tour goes on I think you will get a lot more. The joke about him and Ashleigh meeting at the wall to have their first kiss cracks me up every time - the faces Damien pulls. It was a great day and I feel lucky to have had an opportunity to say a very quick goodbye to Damien and to thank him for the concerts. While we were waiting outside to head on home, a group of people were walking past and yelled out "you are the ladies from the front row aren't you?". ;D . I wonder how they knew. We had a group hug and we said goodbye to Smiley. Thank-you Sister and Roxy for dropping me off at the station and waiting around with me until the train came. I am still feeling it in my legs from having to quickly run up two or three stairs at a time, around and down the ramp in a desperate bid not to miss the train. It is a bit sad that is all over for us but I look forward to the next time and being able to meet up with you three wonderful ladies again.

Tarapanda, even though it was a hot day, I tried not to drink too much water as I knew I would start going to the loo all the time. Can you imagine if we got up from the front row during the show, who knows what D would have thought. It was nice catching up with you again also and shall see you at the next Qld one.
