I didn't know where else to put this so here it is.
Here are two shows.
SEPTEMBER 18th: Kedron Wavell Services Club, Brisbane QLD SEPTEMBER 19th: Redcliffe Cultural Centre, Brisbane QLD
I live in Ipswich. And I was wondering what is the best way to get to and from either of these shows? I only want to go to one though. The one that's easiest to get to that is. And it'll have to be buses and trains as I do not own a car.
I really want to go to see Damien sing live as I've not done that before. But this time around I think there are not any tours near me or in Brisbane for me to get to. And yes the above two are quite a ways from Brisbane and not in my direction too.
So if anyone knows a good way to get to either of these shows I'd be most grateful.

Jim, The Kedron Wavell club (on Hamilton Rd) is within walking distance of Chermside which is a major bus interchange. If you do a search here www.transinfo.qld.gov.au/ using the trip planner on the right hand side it'll give you options. Basically train into Roma st then bus out to Chermside I would guess.

Oh thanks. I know of the chermside bus interchange. I've seen it on a map. And I can get there via Central (train) then a bus. I'd have to work out times to make a bus back that's all. I just didn't know the Kedron was so close. Well that seems to be the best bet.
Thank you.

Jim,
It seems easier if you get a train to Roma Street then go walk to the Roma Street Busway and jump on one of the following buses:-
330 - Bracken Ridge Express 335 - Taigum Express 340 - Carseldine Express
All these buses go to the Chermside Bus Station which is on the corner of Gympie Road and Hamilton Road.
When you get off the bus at Chermside, walk out onto Hamilton Road. Stay on the left hand side of Hamilton Road and walk for about 400 metres and you will see Kedron-Wavell Services Club.
Let me know if you have already trouble with the directions as I live in this area.
Hope to see you there. ;D

Thanks for all of that info. I think that is easy enough to get to and back. So if I'm not working on that day which I just might not be I'll get a ticket and go to the kedron show. And going off that map, that's really close to the bus interchange. Seems rather easy get to.
And yeah I've not seen him live before. And why I'm making such a fuss this time is the possible inclusion of the electric piano in parts of the show. I really want to see how Damien gets along with it on the stage. I'll just have to get myself a ticket prehand.
Anyways I'm looking forward to this show. Hope there is some merch there to buy.
And lastly, walking out at night near dangerous roads and other places. I'm not scared. I've been hit by cars before. I always use public transport to go places. I'll just be careful and should be fine.

Hurt yes. Quite a bit.
They say childbirth hurts quite a lot also. But people still have more kids. Same principle. We just have to put up with some things in life to be able to enjoy other things.
