SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!We've had the BEST night. ;D The Hut in our room is just breaking up. Lots of Damienite chatter and fun..and a little booze! Where to start: OK, set list: Catch The WindGuitar Man / Stairway To HeavenNJFTWIFVincent (when are you going to let me live that one down, D? ) Everybody's Talking (with lots of Toot toots!)..but a lazy audience. Thank goodness for the two tables of s who sang lustily! La Bamba22 Steps (I'd know your birthday wish..and meet you at The WALL) ;D Second Set I'll Be There ..D's new original, on keyboard. Loved it! D asked the audience if it should be on the new album. A resounding YEEEEEEEESSSSS! was his reply. ;D SkyCrying/Hallelujah ..with a few distractions! More about that later. Alone Baby I Love Your Way on keyboard All I Want Is YouEncore Beautiful Wicked Game/ irish mix

It's 3.21am, the others are asleep. but I'm posting before I sleep because I just HAVE to tell you a little story. See, we figured that D didn't need any more underwear to take to Perth, so we thunked about how we could surprise him. In true Melburnian style, we decided to a make some signs, which we carefully placed in front of the foldback speakers while D was backstage between sets. They read: IT's ABBA week on IdolWe Know U Can Do ItRock Me, Baby! Weeelll, D didn't notice them when he came out to start the second set, but as he walked back to the mikestand (after forgetting to take the mike with him..again!) from the keyboard, he glanced down. He launched into Crying/ Hallelujah, then stopped, laughed and said "I just have to share something with you". He held up our signs, read them to the audience and then sang some of" Waterloo" in the squeakiest, highest, girliest voice! The audience cackled so he kept going with "Dancing Queen", complete with girly hip wiggle ... and some of "Rock Me"! We were in hysterics! He then explained to the audience he had been Benny in an ABBA-cover band when he was poor. awwww! then, without breaking stride, he continued on to sing yet another gobsmacking rendition of Hallelujah. ;D Thankyou D, for going along with our little request so brilliantly! What a HOOT!

That's CLASSIC! Woohoo! Way to go D! Sounds like a fab night...and an exhausting one! So glad you got to hear ?I'll Be There/?There For You ...this is the same one we heard at Redcliffe, I'm guessing. It's the most beautiful song- so glad the crowd response was to it being on the new album! Can't wait to hear all the shenanigans!
