TALLY UPDATESThe first tally update for the contributions to the Special Olympics to DEC 8th is now posted in the Secret Plans area, here: TALLY UPDATES Birthday Project 2009
This is a password only area, please contact one of the moderators for password access.Many thanks to all who have contributed so far! If you wish to donate, please read the first post in this thread for info & visit the "Donate" page (green button in left menu) on the Special Olympics site and check the pop-down menu that you wish it to be for the Damien Leith Birthday Project When you donate, please also email Amy Lovegrove at the Special Olympics amyl@specialolympics.com.au to confirm and let me know via pm. This is very important so that we can double check that everyone who has participated in the project has their donation allocated to the project and is also included on the list. There have been a few donations coming in this week as well, so there will be an updated tally on Mon 15th, with a final tally for this year on Fri 19th. Then the tally updates will recommence early next year in the count-down to the end of the project on JAN 17th!

Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated so far and for everyone's support for the project! If you would like to join in, while the SO office is still closed for Christmas until next week donations are still accepted online during the break and will be added to the tally as it progresses. There will be further tally updates as we head towards the closing date of JAN 17 so please check back for regular updates |

The latest TALLY UPDATE to the beginning of this week is now posted in the Secret Plans area here Thank you so much to Amy for sending over the updates  The SO appreciates each and every donation so much, you are all contributing to a wonderful group of people who make such a difference to so many lives. On their behalf, the SO thanks you all!!!  There is also an update to our dates for the project - Final Date to contribute will be JAN 18 (Damien's birthday). You can still donate to the SO online right up to the 18th for it to be included in the Final Tally, which will be compiled by the SO on JAN 19th. Thanks so much for all the PMs and confirmations you are sending me, it helps so much in tracking the project and ensuring everyone's names are included. Please don't forget to also send Amy a confirmation email with your forum name if you contribute so she can update her list of those taking part as well. There will be another tally update next week, so please check back in again soon to see the latest! |

I've been receiving quite a few letters the last few days from those taking part in the project this year, thank you so much everyone, you are fantastic! The tally is steadily climbing and there is still left time to join in if you wish! Final big week coming up!  |

I wanna donate, but I'd only be able to do it using cash. Is there a way? Spud, there was an option for donating by cheque on the website, so you might be able to arrange a money order through the post office that you could send. |

Tina right Spud, we often receive donations by money order, so SO shouldn't have a problem processing it. Just need to have all the revelant information when you go to the Post Office ie correct name. |
