Set List
First
Catch The Wind Vincent...thanks D. I guess I'm forgiven. Cold Cold Heart ...'a chirpy break-up song'.hehe.. If Fisherman's Blues..with brilliant audience participation with the woohoo HOOOs! ;D
Then came some random fun. D was watching Twenty To One Most Annoying Songs Ever on telly out the back before they came on..he apparenly had been dared to sing whatever was the #1. bwhaha!!
So we got snippets of 500 Miles ( The Proclaimers) which some s in the front table begged him to sing . He declined politely, and then sang a couple of verses of Achy Breaky Heart, the #1. The audience (and Indi and Ray!) cracked up..so did D!
22 Steps..sans The Wall.
Second
Happy Birthday to the lovely Margaret, turning 72 years young. She and her family had the table closest to us. D asked her what she would like him to sing for a birthday wish. He wasn't expecting Nessun Dorma! Graciously, he complied, singing an a cappella rendition that had the audience on their feet applauding and whistling wildly after the last stunning notes!..including us. ;D I'm not a massive fan of the song..but there is no doubt whatsoever that D is just the most phenomenally versatile and gifted singer!
Crying Hallelujah Everybody's Talking
A little of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.
Baby I Love Your Way/ Fall At Your Feet
Encore
Danny Boy Wicked Game/ Irish mix.

Wellers was packed solid again. This audience was brilliant. Totally silent and reverentially adoring during the quiet moments and singing along beautifully and clapping when required. Honestly, this crowd could really sing!. D seemed very impressed and had to work quite hard to leave them unable to keep up. Another very diverse audience but hugely appreciative and yelling out requests all evening. Great fun!!

The crowd went nuts ;D The Achy Breaky Heart bit was hilarious Don't know where to start, it was an funtarstic night, I am in Teh Coma Damien's voice just gets better and better i swear. Hallelujah, Crying, Nessun Dorma, Danny Boy OMG Just AWESOMEHe is so sweet, when he was leaving he lent over and said Happy Birthday again to the 72yr old lady It was so lovely!! Really don't know what else I can say. I took heaps of videos, hopefully they all turn out but it is going to take a while to upload them all, and we have our road trip tomorrow, so it will be a couple of days, SORRY!!
