Was the grabee next to you Shims in teh coma by the end of the night? Had she been last time when Damien was at Dee Why?

lol, I think that lady may have still been recovering from sitting next to a Damienite going into teh coma I don't think she had been to see him at Dee Why last time, but really enjoyed the show last night

During the show I could hear everyone around me laughing at all the jokes and joining in the singing, so it was a good interactive crowd. Quite mixed between young, middle and older, probably more ladies in the audience this time - Damien gave us the low notes to sing again and gave the men the high ones, but it was the ladies who ended up singing them (and the men got the credit )

What a perfect night!!! Oh shims, you really do write fantastic reports. I wish I could have been there with you too! Good on you for going out of your way to be extroverted. I'm laughing at you grabbing that other lady ~ did you turn her into a Damienite by the end of the night? ;D

The set list is fantastic - and to get some of those songs with the grand piano - talk about D spoiling everyone!

I really can't wait for D's book to be finished and released now. I'm so impatient!

It sounds like a great audience last night full of lots of D love and great voices. I'm glad the SO were there and Eil's family.

That was so nice of D to call out to you when you were leaving and wish you a Merry Christmas.

I'm still about the honorary Damienite sitting next to you, getting grabbed at appropriate moments!! Your b/f has obviously learnt to sit on your non grabbing side for his own personal safety after so many shows!! He must win the award for most shows attended by a partner of a Damienite!! (or is he a secret Damienite too!!)

And good for you for pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to lead the singers around you!

Belinda One day we are going to go to a show together, and until then you are there with me anyway

& lol, I think Damien turned that lady into a Damienite all by himself I was hearing a lot of gasps and sighs from the ladies in the audience that night - as usual! It's interesting when you are futher back, you can see the way the room is reacting and if the crowd is getting into it.

Lol Tina I was thinking the exact same thing last night, that usually b/f is behind me or across the table, so he does in fact usually escape my grabbing, sighing and general breakdowns - well maybe except last Wednesday at the Vanguard he was tucked in peacefully behind me there - until Damien started Lilac Wine - lol I think he knew there might be danger if Damien played that one and his leg might just have been crushed grabbed by the mad person in front of him. It's so great though, from the start b/f has loved Damien's music too & loves our fun nights out at the shows

Seriously amazing set list, WOW! Good that you got to hear a couple of Christmas songs, especially This Christmas, that's awesome. ;D And the piano songs, ahhh.

For some reason I asssumed Matty/Mattie was a cover, just from the way everyone has been talking about it in other threads. But now I see it's an original , and Shims, from your description of it, it seems like a really funtarstic song. Wow, all these new songs, and I haven't heard any of them.

LOL at the story about the turkey , now I get all the jokes people were making about turkeys in Damien's Christmas thread.

Shims, glad you and BF got to talk to Damien at your last show of the year. Sounds like you both had a really nice night.

Lol at the Wollongong jokes. We should all get some singing lessons then go down to Wollongong next time D does a concert there, so we can really impress him. And lol at you grabbing a random lady Shims.
