Brass Monkey Cronulla 4th & 5th Dec 2008

Here we are, a lovely new thread to start off the album for the BRASS MONKEY, Cronulla


Damien was in absolutely wonderful form, so relaxed and playful too, and in stunning voice , it was all just incredible. There were many times when we were all just utterly spellbound


The Brass Monkey is a fantastic intimate venue with tons of atmosphere and very friendly staff - and they must have noticed me taking a few vids as then the bar staff ducked down everytime they walked past me so they wouldn't spoil the vids, that was so courteous & thoughtful of them


I was at the one show, on the 5th (the 2nd night) in the standing room section by the bar so only have these couple of pics from my camera phone





but also have some video to come soon! .

I've seen some of the pics the girls took from the front table on both nights, OMG they are stunning, some of the best I've ever seen of Damien and you will all be thrilled when you see them!

I love IF. Funny how all the applause happened when he was still halfway through the final note.

It was just wonderful wasn't it Braffy, the audience was really into the show all night and everytime Damien made one of those incredible notes everyone was applauding. At the very end of "If" everyone couldn't even wait for him to finish, so swept up in what he was doing.

WOW!! Thanks for posting that Shims, Damien's voice sounded so beautiful!! And those notes! I think he was up a whole lot higher than he needed to be... but how he manages to pull them off, I don't know!! I think the little break he had with his family has made his voice sound even better than before!!

All you needed was the leather pants.........

I have one little secret wish though..(which is about to be no longer secret!) I would absolutely DIE of joy if he sang it one day with the original, erm, descriptive profanity in place! If anyone knows the Radiohead version they'll know what I mean. I can't explain why, I just have an irrational urge to hear D swear! Maybe it will finally convince me that he isn't always a good boy..we know he's cheeky, after all!
