Gaahhh I was hoping you'd be enjoying this (well, at least enjoying the 5 secs we got of it) by now, how frustrating for you! Damien definitely did sing "Hallelujah" ( I *love* that one too - happily we seem to have very similar musical tastes as I'm loving the songs Damien is singing!!) but also at some point they've recorded him doing Unchained Melody and played it that night.

Musta skipped my mind if they did - hmm can anyone else shed light on this - Perhaps Damien himself?

lol, I've gone to check the exact details so it's easy to find! It's definitely in the little intro snippet before "You are so Beautiful". When he's singing "Unchained Melody", Damien is in the theatre and wearing the red stripy t-shirt, same as he wore for singing "Hallelujah". They play Damien singing "Unchained Melody" over him speaking, then a little snippet of the performance just before they show a longer segment of him singing "Hallelujah." Whew! Glad to see I hadn't imagined it!! lol Edit: Now I'm busy correcting the few thousand times I've misspelt Hallelujah in this forum!!

Hmm i was just thinking about something - Affirmation by Savage Garden...how fantastic would Damien sound doing that song??!!! I mean think about it a song sung by one of the best things to come out of Australia that has the beat to it while still having all those good points in the song to hit some far out notes...Besides that the lyrics - they are poitive and truthfull!! I think he would sound amazing!

I know a few have done it but i would love to hear him sing Boehemion Rhapsody-Queen. I would also love to hear him do some Roy Orbison stuff since he has "that sound" you know the one i mean...... i know.. im just OLD fashioned. Anyway his song choice has been brilliant so im sure i will enjoy ANYTHING he is singing

This week's theme is fun - songs from the year you were born. Assuming 1976 for Damien, here's my thoughts "LOVE TO LOVE YOU BABY", Donna Summer - ok, I haven't gone mad!! ;D I thought of this one and can't get the idea out of my head now - there are big notes in this, plus Damien could give this a new masculine twist with a bit of rearranging. It's so crazy, it might actually be a good idea! "SLIPPING AWAY" Max Merritt & the Meteors - great local song and it has major emotion and angst, Damien could have everyone in tears. Great stuff! Ok - who else wants to give some 1976 song ideas?

I would really like to hear him sing "Grace" or "Last Goodbye" by Jeff Buckley.
Another song would be "Vincent" by Don McLean
