I am just totally and utterly in love with this album!
This mash up has reminded me of how I felt at the Listening Session and how emotional it all was.

Forgive Forget is just INCREDIBLE! D's voice is in it is nothing short of sublime is it? Just loving the huskiness!

Wouldn't Change a Thing is simply stunning and the lyrics...OMG!!!! It reminds me a lot of Keane which is a very good thing for me

I cannot wait till next Friday. The time has gone so fast and I can't believe it's only 8 days till we all have this AMAZING album in our hot little hands!!!!!!

Wish I could hear the mash up but I'll be patient and wait for October 9 so I can hear everything. Wombat emailed me the you tube link to TGTY in the Bahamas and I was wearing it out. To read that everyone thinks that there are better songs is just so exciting. What a welcome home present!

For someone like me who wasn't at the LP and hasn't bought mash-up this is all pretty exciting. The actual album has a lot to live up to after reading all your posts! ;D

ODT, after hearing all the raves from the listening party, I was a bit worried that it was all a bit overhyped for me....how could it really be that good?
I'll tell you, after listening to the snippets of those 4 new songs, I'm quite blown away....D's voice sounds awesome, the sound is huge, and the songs are great. I can't wait to hear this whole album right through

It's so exciting for me as well seeing the reactions to the mashup of those who hadn't heard the album yet - ISN'T IT FANTASTIC!!! - and yes - it's only a taster!!


The thing about the whole album is, there so much to it!! There's so much of a story going on within it all as well as all the music itself then you've got the added beautiful AND teh rock/husky voice of Damien (going off into space remembering with Carla here!) - I cannot wait to hear it again and start to fully appreciate it - little more than a week to go


After hearing it at the LP we did not stop talking about the music all night after, right through 3 HUTS , all the way walking back through the city and the park, all you could hear was all the different discussions about the songs - it's going to go crazy around here when we can finally buy the album and really get listening and talking!!

I just can't stop myself listening to these songs, I love them all and the memories they all bring back from the LP, I'm back to trying to decide which is my favourite, I love Golden LIne, I love Forgive Forget, I love Wouldn't Change A Thing and I love Unordinary World, this whole album is just fantastic, October 9th can't come quick enough.

The one word that keeps coming into my mind when I hear this mash-up is EPIC. It's a totally new sound, but it's still Damien. It's more mature, it's more cultured, it's much bigger and I absolutely love it

I thought of The Script straight away when I heard Forgive Forget too, Spud. And Keane when I heard Wouldn't Change A Thing, Carla.

And I'm having fabulous flashbacks to the listening party too, it's so familiar and so fantastic!! I'm picturing Spud writing furiously and jumping up and out of her seat!

But, I'm also thinking - did I hear that one?? Not sure where my brain was that night, but I think I overloaded at times!!

I'm resisting the temptation and waiting to hear the whole album again. When I finally have it I'm going to lock myself away, put the earphones in, close my eyes and let the music inhabit my soul The only thing is D won't suddenly appear beside me like he did last time

Agree with Kath and Womby... play in order, loud (and definitely proud) ... that certainly IS the best way to hear the album IMHO But DO have those tissues ready for the emotional rollercoaster ride!
Only 6 days to go till the 9th!!!!

I just realised that I can access my banditFM account from the parents' house so I'll get to listen to the album over there I thought I'd have to wait till Saturday to escape to a shop to buy the physical cd to listen to it

I can't get Forgive Forget out of my head. I find myself mentally replaying it constantly..

Damien's original music has always been easy to relate to, for me. He is such an affecting, heartfelt, real songwriter I find myself assimilating his music very easily, a little like breathing. I so want the whole of this album, to have the entire story become part of my internal landscape. This taster has just heightened the longing!!

Only a week to wait now! Like many of us I intend play this abum over and over to completely absorb it. It will be such a joy.
