PINK will perform at Australia's MTV Video Music Awards, alongside hosts Good Charlotte and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas.

Organisers for the event yesterday revealed that the outspoken singer would be among the headline acts at the Sydney awards ceremony, to be held on April 29.

Australian artists including Damien Leith will receive worldwide exposure when they appear at the awards - the show is screened through the MTV network in the US and Europe.

Pink will be in Australia for her full-length national tour. She has five nominations for the awards, including best female artist.

This year, for the first time, tickets will be available to members of the public, with a limited number sold through Ticketek from April 10.
