Thanks for posting the pictures from Melbourne and also the Sydney leg....... what a great cause! I can understand why you were 'seeping' Glawz, I'm sure it's very emotional being there with everyone!

awww thanks for all the great pics and reports Team DLO ;D ;D ;D ....certainly has been a fantastic experience especially being with the SO athletes.....one of our little girls had a seizure that night from all the excitement (especially after her photo with the Knights player) but her mum was just so elated for the all round experience she had had....said it was still worth it ;D

Well done to all the Melbourne girls!! So glad to read you had such good weather for the run, it sounded like ideal conditions! Fantastic to see you had such a good experience, the pics are wonderful, it's great to see everyone together there in their Run with the Law t-shirts! Great to see the honorary Damienites there with you as well for Team DLO, I hope they all enjoyed! Definitely know what you mean about walking into the MCG - so glad you all got to do that, it would have been amazing!! That was a big surprise to us on the day as well that we entered the SCG and walked onto the turf there, I could imagine what it must be like for all those cricketers and footballers to play in such iconic places and experience such an atmosphere. Was magical even without the crowds in the stands - the essence of the place even when empty is so powerful it was spine tingling. Would have been stunning inside the MCG yesterday! Reading all the reports from Qld to Vic it's briliant to read how the experience has been universally moving to be a part of & how this event means so much to the athletes and their families, anyone there on the day cannot fail to see how much it means to them and like Monica promised right from the start, seeing the athletes and being able to run beside them is something very special that is unforgettable. Dawn I'm so sorry to hear about one of the girls having a seizure, it's a really big day and can imagine for the athletes such a lot of excitement and build up, was great to read that her mother said all was well and they have such great memories. Team DLO has now completed our running stages The event still has a few weeks to go as the torch continues around to Adelaide and if you wish to support the Special Olympics by sponsoring TEAM DLO you still have plenty of time! To continue sponsoring/donating please head to or forward this link for the TEAM DLO page at the SO's runwiththelaw.com.au site!

Now we're at the end of the project will definitely be sending Damien a special summary, will be posting more in the secret plans area soon Spud Meanwhile everyone who has taken part in the project/made a donation and wishes their name to be included in the final summary list PLEASE PM me if you have not already . A week should hopefully be enough for everyone to check in so please try to be in touch with me by May 25th, I'm going to check in with Monica as the site still seems to be taking donations so I'm not quite sure yet if we have final figures, but the way it looks at the moment, it seems like Team DLO finished in #1 spot!! THIS IS AMAZING and a brilliant effort everyone!

There was something really nice waiting for me in the mail when I arrived home last night. A beautiful thank you letter from Special Olympics Australia together with a Certificate of Appreciation awarded to me of Team DLO. I had tears in my eyes reading it. What a lovely thing for them to do. I'm going to get my Certificate of Appreciation framed and will hang it proudly up on my wall.
