Must tell you that it was kinda funny that Trills was bleeding for D before he even came on.  I walked into a blackberry cane growing out from amongst the glorious grape vines before I even hit the grounds,  Blood everywhere and an abashed look didn't begin the day well!!  Ouch!  I hope you are OK Trilly. Did you overhear any comments from people after Damien's set? Yes, thanks, to both Braffster (and everyone)  ;D As I was walking up to the merchandise tent where he was signing I heard one lady in particular who said " I hadn't realised he was so GOOD!" with a huge smile on her face. That's often the case when people hear him live for the first time. ..and as I gushed about last night *cough*  his voice was stunning and the falsetto was magical! It produced gasps in the crowd. In fact, they were clapping and cheering before he sang the last note of Hallelujah so loudly that they sorta drowned him out! ;D During his set D remarked that he'd recently had a birthday and had turned 34.. ( D darlin, just a little hint, that does not make you old, only older! )  and a lady in the audience started to sing Happy Birthday. D said "You can, if you like, but it's not necessary" with a big smile. Most of the audience then sang it for him! He grinned and said "That was unexpected. Thankyou!". It was a lovely moment. ;D EDIT: Oopsy, I see you've told that story, Princey ;D.. but it's worth retelling, it was so sweet. I forgot about thehHip Hoorays! Another little story. As he introduced "Wicked Game" he said it was a sexy song  .. well, you know we couldn't resist that!  We whistled and yelled out "you're sexy!" He cracked up and waggled his finger at us! Have to say that Tina Arena sounded great too, she has an awesome voice. She's a tad overly theatrical for my taste though.  Ronan was very, very good, I enjoyed his performance. He had an orchesta with several violins and backing singers accompanying him and looked rather erm hot!.  It was raining when he was on and the temperature had dropped dramatically, but no-one cared. The crowd was very happy and well behaved. ;D All in all, it was a brilliant day. Thanks Nicki, Princey,(and DD) and Di for your fantastic company too! ;D |

Sounds like a perfect concert, and that Melbourne weather lived up to it's reputation!!!! Glad you all had such a great time! |

It did! It did, Tara! I think I was so focussed on getting inside the gate I just didn't see it on the ground. However, a few scratches are nothing. I'll call them DLurrve wounds! Yep, RJ sold really well on this Tour it seems, and D won many new fans I think. ;D Go D! |

The change was forecast for 7pm but came at about 5, thank goodness! Remember how a couple of years ago we Melburnians were Frozen s ? Well, this time we were Baked s! |

 Well girls looks like Love does conquer all even bloody legs..attacked by blackberry stumps..  . In NSW they have pretty much eradicated all of those nasty yummy things..lol. Glad you all had a fab time per usual only wish I had been there too..  Glad to hear about Tina has anyone got a pic..of her performing? She is a young talent timer Trills...lol...remember the show...hahaha anny xoxoxo

I love hearing those sort of comments after / during Damien's performances.
I wonder if these sales go toward Gold status !! It seems like there have been a lot sold and he has his concerts coming up soon too.

I think Princey may have some, Anny. and yep, I do remember YTT.. but shhhhh, it's not nice to remind a lady of her age!  I had my DH's camera with me. (I'm very glad I didn't take mine. A lady near us had al ong lens and the security heavies removed her!) I can't see his screen very well, I've only got a few half-way decent shots which I'll post shortly. |

I recall D said that sales at gigs weren't ARIA accredited. What a pity, huh? |
