Update from Trills.. They're having a fantastic time and Damien sounds GORGEOUS! She said Beautiful was just BEAUTIFUL!, he's also sung BILYW, and Wild World! D is wearing Grey pinstripe shirt, with Blue Jeans. Sounds amazing, can't wait to hear more ;D

Yep Rox, that's the long and the short of it. ;D Damien sounded fantastic tonight, he has a depth and tone to his voice at the moment that is absolutely well, sexy as hell! I really enjoyed the vocal harmonies from Indi and Eric tonight. All three voices are blending beautifully. These two fine musos were just brilliant too. LOVE the tone of the electric guitar Eric is currently playing ..and he killed it this evening. Fanbloodytastic! Wellers is a great venue, the audience always loves D and listens in rapt attention.. you can hear a pin drop when he's singing, and they join in enthusiastically when the singalongs/contests happen. There's always some nice voices in the crowd too. And D was totally hilarious! ;D He is such a comic on stage these days.. some of the "off the cuff" stuff was just gorgeous. I'm sure he's kissed The Blarney Stone a couple of times! Set List in a tick.. but oow, we got a verse or two of I Don't Like Mondays with D on piano! LOVED it!! ;D

Set List : Ist Remember June - the tin whistle is so haunting with this song. To Get To You Beautiful - which was gobsmacking. The audience went nuts . D sounded divine. Wild World - haha, Eric played a note or two, and D said,"Oh Ok then, we're doing that are we?"andlaunched into it with a smile on his face. At the finish, he made some comment about how he didn't expect it and Eric piped up "well, it was on the setlist!".. D cracked up..and so did Eric..and us! Ride On- man. I LOVE this thing! D sounds brilliant, the song is knockout, very Christie Moore and Eric just goes to town on the electric guitar. Awesome! Annie's Song -always a crowd fave.. but never mine! haha! BILYW - ooow, sexy as! *siiigh* On guitar too, not piano. I liked it a lot!Wicked Game/ jig2nd Crying ( by request) - totally stunning, as ever. Crowd adored it. Catch The Wind - also by request (for a birthday girl). D said it might be a bit rough, he hadn't sung it for a while. Umm, yeah. There were a few lyrical changes .. heee, but it sounded nice. Fields Of Athenry - I remember hearing D sing this a couple of years ago and I loved it then, still do. So, so pretty, and kinda sad. Gorgeous. a liiitle jig called Kesh.. Iindi was awesome on the violin. Rocky Road To Dublin - The 'Irish rap". D called it his "test" and from what I could tell he passed with flying colours! Man, that was "down", haha, so much fun and sounded brilliant. LOVED IT! Golden Line - acoustic version was amazing! Awesome! Danny Boy - stunning. (D sings this song with such emotion, he makes it new for me again) which led into another instrumental. Audience really enjoyed it. Everybody's Talking - I love the improvising on the melodies of a few songs D is doing atm. He's sounding almost jazzy at times. It's really cool. Goodnight - made me cry. So gorgeous. Encore: I Don't Like Mondays Hallalujah - as brilliant as ever.

Sounds like it was a great show, thanks for the setlist Trilly! "Golden Line" and would have been great to hear "Catch the Wind" again, that was my fave from the last tour and it's been a long while since we've heard that one. So good to hear how everyone is loving "Ride On" !!! Damien's version is sensational and totally agree too about Eric's guitar in it, that solo blew us away the other night, it all came together so well! I've seen Damien do BILYW on piano and guitar and think I lean towards the guitar version, but then again, love the piano one too, lol - so either way, love that song too Would have been great to hear Wild World - lol at him not remembering it was on the setlist

I am especially holding out for I Wouldn't Change A Thing on Saturday night .....................pleasssssssse Just between you and me, I think we'll get few more over the next few days. One complaint tonight: Sound issues! Crackles in the speaker, some incredibly high-pitched feedback at times ( ooouch!) too much reverb and the occasional fluff.. (hah, D said "the noises aren't coming from me!.. I think...but I do get carried away sometimes! ) The sound engineer needs a smack. Very tired, have long drive tomorow, I'll leave the rest to the others.. We spoke very briefly to him after the show, He's very fit and sounds really happy. Looking forward to the rest of the gigs! Night Braff.

Sure, I love upbeat numbers and long to hear more RJ, but this was a great list for this very appreciative audience of admiring fans. They were just as much in love with him as we were. ;D. s
