Just arrived home from a sensational show. A lovely venue and Damien was brilliant. The audience were great lots of whistles etc. Anothere great setlist but we are all a bit stupid no one wrote it down. When Damien played STAY he told the audience that that song was his Hallelujah. He also said that he went to see Tom Jones this afternoon and nearly threw his knickers onto the stage. He was very funny tonight.

I think we had all decided just to listen tonight, Glawz.( and maybe take the odd shot, except me) We have had such an amazing, overwhelming few days it was lovely just to kick back and be under teh D spell without thinking for a change. Oh yes indeed, D did say that Stay is his Hallelujah... and he sang it superbly tonight, as last night. It's pretty obvious it's a fave of mine, and I couldn't help walking up towards the stage from our front table seat to applaud Damien's beautiful, emotional rendition. I'm incredibly glad I've heard it live twice now. Another RJ song which was different tonight was For All Of Time. *siigh* Since this is acoustic , D did it in his solo set and it was hauntingly beautiful. Loved it. He also did TGTY, Unordinary World ( which he explained had had a few name changes along the way!) and Golden Line from Remember June as well as the title track. This audience loved the whole show and the Irish component was a big hit again as well. Tonight it was Fields Of Athenry which received the biggest reception. That was wonderful. It's such a gorgeous song. Rusty seemed to be very busy selling cds tonight. This large audience were completely hooked..and we were a little sad it's all over again. I enjoyed watching the obviously Irish bar lady Irish dancing to the jigs behind the bar. I suspect D saw her too. ;D Awesome! PS. This is a great new venue for us. I was very impressed..as well as with the support act, a band - acoustic and electric guitar plus keys and decent singer.. nice sound. Bugger.. forgotten their name- (what I heard. I took a breather to watch the torrrential rain tumble down).

Yes, I've decided to re-name him "Damian Delicious" - he was so hot. Again a fantastic show with a fantastic crowd and a standing ovation at the end... The people we were sitting with saw him at Crown some time ago and not since, and just loved it. Did a bit of queue talk and toilet talk, and the general consensus was that everybody just loved him. Pretty sure he sold heaps of RJ albums. The stand out was Hallelujah - absolutely gob smacked with this rendition, very emotional and the crowd went just crackers over it. He was so funny (AGAIN) and some new quips to brighten the evening's entertainment - the crowd loved the banter as we did too. ;D It's hard to come down from cloud 9 so high up in the air and it's so hard to believe that this round of Melb. shows is over. Trills, Di and Princey were lucky enough to go to the loo at the right time before the show and ran into D in the corridor - Nixter and I missed out mass bad and I was sOO.OO disappointed. After that I found myself on an emotional roundabout for the rest of the night ..... - last show for Melb after the fantastic ones we have just seen... cloud 9 down to an emotional fall out
- not getting to say hello/luv ya/you're gorgeous etc. in person
- red hot renditions of those beautiful songs (you all know what they are) which brought tears to my eyes
tired from lack of sleep so the roller-coaster of emotions magnified x 50
Sorry to be sad, can't help it.... late, tired, a couple of gaileys under teh belt etc. Will post some pics of Village Green and tonight after I've had some sleep. They're not wonderful photos as my camera leaves a lot to be desired in the low light situation.

Awww Glawz that's definitely the down side of the coma, there is always the come down which can be very painful!! But.... we've all been there and felt that, so don't worry about expressing your sadness, we know where you are coming from! .... and no doubt there will be a few Melbourne and various eastern stater Damienites who will be in the same state as you! Sounds like you all had a beautiful evening though, a fitting end to the Vic tour!

He also said that he went to see Tom Jones this afternoon and nearly threw his knickers onto the stage. He was very funny tonight. LOL Damien posted a pic from the Tom Jones show on his twitter this afternoon & I was wondering then if he might be inspired by the occasion and throw some undies thought it was so funny when they are usually thrown his way for him to be at the show of the guy who started the trend Wow Nixter & Trilly that's fantastic to read Damien say that Stay is his Hallelujah!! - I hope he might sing it much more often, the only time I've heard it live was the State Theatre - same with For All of Time. OMG you were all so lucky he did that one tonight, it's so rare!! They are 2 of Damien's best ever songs and 2 of my faves from Remember June, would love to hear those embedded into the playlist! YAY fantastic that Golden Line featured so often on the VIC leg of the tour I hope so much that Damien keeps it in for the whole tour!! I'm really sorry you and Nixter missed Damien to say hi tonight Glawz, that would be so disappointing but hopefully soon enough instead all the happy memories will fill your mind of the wonderful week of Damien, sounds like you all had some brilliant times! Many thanks everyone for coming on so late each time to tell us about the shows!!

Hello everyone, sorry its taken me awhile to get on line and tell you all about the night, I was just sooooo tired when I got home, I haven't had enough sleep over the past few days Di,Trilly and I arrived at the York a bit later than expected, Nicki and Glawz were already seated, the room was pretty full when we arrived. Me & Di headed off to the toilet before the show, when we were out in the hallway a voice in the distance said "Hello ladies" Damien came towards us and gave us a & , we had a chat, he mentioned that he was really tired and wouldn't be coming out after the show and that they were leaving very early to go home, we were just lucky to be in the right place at the right time, Di and me both gushed about how great the shows have been, Damien was very attentive to us. The show was again awesome, it was a great venue and the sound was fantastic. As the others said we all forgot about the setlist, but it was basically the same as other shows. He started with 'Remember June' and followed it up straight away with 'To Get To You', I can rember 'Wicked Game' with Stairway to Heaven, it was fantastic to hear For All Of Time, it a beautiful song and sounded fantastic on the keyboard, I was thrilled to hear him sing 'Stay" and 'Golden Line' two of my favorite songs. The Irish part of the show was fantastic and the audience got right into it, I love 'Fields on Athenrye' its a lovely song and 'Rocky Road to Dublin' was very popular too. After Damien sang 'Crying' 2 's got up off their chairs and while he was getting a standing ovation for it handed him 2 bunches of roses, he said 'Thankyou' and then went on to say he has 2 bunches, which led on to the 'Lovely Bunch Of Coconuts' He mentioned about the gifts he had received during the tour and told about the Mankini and some lollies [size=0(which you can read about in the Village Green thread[/size]) The night finished too soon but I've had an awesome week with some wonderful friends. You just never want it to end. Glawz, I'm really sad that you & Nicki didn't get the chance to see him at Lilydale, it was just sheer luck that me and Di did, we should have warned you about 'teh coma' it happens to all of us. I can't believe that the Melbourne part of the tour has finished already, it just goes so fast, but I've had the best week ever, it was so awesome having everyone here together, we all had the best time and I really didn't want it to end Thankyou Carla, Braffy, Dawn & Bella for coming to visit us, I can't wait to see you all again And Greg says

I remember too that Damien spoke about the "buns of steel" and how he had been working out, he said he didn't want to offend anyone by taking off his jacket and showing his 'guns' He also did some very sexy dance moves as he was explaining to us about how he looked after the boys and 2 friends for a while, and that he put on Robbie Williams and danced with them

s for Glawz and Nicki. I know ( we all know, as Tina and Shims said) how much we all want to say goodbye to D at the end of our gigs. We were just incredibly lucky to be in the right place at the right time. They had an early flight out this morning and had a fair drive back in the rain to their accomm from where we were. I had tried to warn Glawzy about the let-down too, :'(but I guess it's just something we all go through, after the emotional high of hearing and seeing our gorgeous man and partying with wonderful friends. It was a sensational few days and I won't forget them.. ever, I think.

Wow, what a wonderful week for you all. I know that let down so well Glawz. The first time I saw D live was in Hobart, I convinced DH to go there just for the concert ;D and the next day we were walking around Port Arthur. DH told me that he could actually SEE me deflate in front of him. It was such a weird feeling, I had never had it before but have since of course

While you girls were on your way to the gig MrPrincey was taking us to the airport. We had found out before we left Princey's place when Bella tried to check in online that her flight was cancelled . Luckily they put her on an earlier flight (the same time as Carla and my flight). We got to the airport and found out about 10 minutes later that the airport was now closed because of the weather Bella was at teh Virgin terminal but Dawn, Carla and myself were together. We kept saying, if they are going to shut the airport do you think we can get a ticket to the Lilydale concert? we kept wishing we were there. Anyway, they finally re openend the airport. Carla and I got away an hour late. I don't know how late Dawn's plane was or what time Bella got away. Dawn also lost her car parking ticket, so she was quite concerned about being able to get her car back when she got to her destination. Sorry for putting this in here but it links in with being on the same night and us wishing we were at the concert. Carla is not a good traveller and it didn't help with Roxy sending text messages of doom and gloom regarding the weather and flying. Thanks Roxy ~ not We had a very turbulent trip back and I think Qantas are still trying to get the fingernails out of the seat/walls/window etc from Carla She was very pleased to be on Terra Firma.

Eeek running out of time as usual, will have to catch up on all the posts tonight hopefully. Sounds like a fantastic last show, sorry that Glaws and Nicki didn't get to say goodbye, as the others said, it is a weird feeling after the shows. You really don't want any of it to end. at the Buns of Steel!! You guys were lucky to get Stay and Would't Change a Thing. Braffy, if someone asks me to keep them updated re storms, roads, or whatever, then that's what I do! I was only concerned that you guys were going to be driving through that Storm and that worried me more. I was relived to know that you were only a few minutes away from the airport. Sorry Carla if I scared you

Sounds like you had a fantastic night. I was thinking of you all being at the show whilst I was flying home. Sorry to hear Glawz and Nicki didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Yes, we all know what it feels like coming down after being on such a high. Princess, thanks again for having us and tell Greg I said
