So great you got to see Damien, frances and that it was such a great show! A shame they didn't allow pics, sometimes that happens if there's a big crowd, but just fantastic you all got to meet with him! What were the highlights for you

Hi everyone Haven't had a chance to post before now. Damien was in fine form last night. Wardrobe report - Blue jeans and blue shirt. No videos or photos allowed which pissed me off. A lady came over and told me off for taking pics and told me to put my camera away I took a couple more pics after that anyway The set list was very different to Launceston so it was great to hear some different songs. Remember June To Get To You Beautiful Wild World Unordinary World Ride On Annie's Song Baby I Love Your Way Wicked Game Sky Unchained Melody 22 Steps Fields of Anthenrhy Rocky Road To Dublin Danny Boy Everybody's Talking Hallellujah This is pretty close to correct but I have a feeling I've missed one and this might not be exactly the right order. My fave thing to do at concerts is NOT to sit there with a pen writing down every song so I cheated and got the set list from the stage Problem with that is that there were a few changes so I'm trying to remember what they were There was a stunning grand piano at Wrest Point which he played a few songs on. 'Beautiful', 'Unordinary World' and 'Sky' were AMAZING on the piano just WOW! Damien came out after the concert to do a signing and there was a really long line. Had a quick chat with him and got another pic. Had a fantastic weekend. Both gigs were awesome. Launceston was pretty special for me as I hadn't seen Damien for 21 months (not that I'm counting or anything) and I had a lot of friends there. The Hobart concerts are always fantastic, great venue and it was good that the set list changed and I got to hear some different songs live from the previous night. Kami wasn't there, but I caught up with her mum. I ended up with a spare ticket and offered it to Kami, who then offered it to her mum. I haven't been able to upload any pics or photos yet as my comp is having some issues. I really need a new one! Hopefully I'll get that sorted in the next couple of days. The highlights for me were........ Hearing songs live from Remember June. Remember June is my fave album of Damien's and his best work in my opinion so I felt privileged to have the opportunity to hear some of the songs live. I was esp glad that he sang Unordinary World and Goodnight as they are both among his best originals. Was hoping for Stay and Wouldn't Change A Thing. Seeing him again when I hadn't seen him in such a long time was a huge buzz for me. I was (and still am) on such a high. Getting to talk to him both nights. Having my friends there (in Launceston). And the hugs. That's always the best part

He sang Sky? Omgosh, I would LOVE to hear that live! I'm guessing he did it during the TWJ tour as well? I never went to any of those shows. Thanks for the report, Ange. Glad you got a chance (or two ) to finally see D again after all this time. ;D

Fabulous report from beautiful Hobart, Ange! That was a great setlist and wow - Sky on that grand piano would have been beautiful! Last time I heard it live was at Canterbury in 2008 I think, they had a lovely piano there that day as well. Lol nice one, glad you got the original set-list definitely easier than writing it down and fumbling in the dark it probably is a bit dif here and there, a beautiful momento to have. That's great Kami's Mum went to the show, hope she also enjoyed herself, am sure she would have. FANTASTIC to hear there were signings, it's been such a while since you've all seen Damien in Tassie, is great to hear everyone got to say hi and get a signed album. Such a shame they wouldn't allow pics, it would be good if all venues followed the Day on the Green policy and allowed everyone with non-pro cameras to take pics. Thanks so much for all the news, it's been great to read about the Tassie shows this weekend!

Hi, My highlights were Damien playing the piano as he seemed to enjoy it and was thrilled to find the venue had one he could play. It was great that he came straight on stage, with no support act this time, so we didn't have to wait long to hear Damien after about 1 1/2 years since his last visit to Hobart. He had his regular companions of Eric, Indi and Kevin with him as musicians and Indi had her own CD for sale as well so we now can listen to some of her performances. He seems more chatty than ever before and kept us entertained between songs as well Joking around of course so much and saying he says some phrases too much like 'fantastic' and letting us know - if we hadn't noticed - that he had been working out He even cheated a little with holding on a note so long ... but it was actually a recording. He can of course hold notes for much longer than the poor audience trying to join in when asked. Many did their best to sing along but his wonderful voice can not be copied! He told the story of the golf game too and of the tablets he was given. Damien announced before interval that he would be out after the show to sign cds and there there were enough for everyone, a bit like Oprah, but he wasn't giving them away After an interval he came out on his own for a couple of songs. He performed songs from Remember June, Catch the Wind and Winners Journey and although requested earlier it was the finale when we got to hear Hallelujah. Irish songs included Fields of Athenry and Danny Boy. There were flyers advertising his new book and a competition to win it by texting on the night. Looking forward to reading then when it's released April 1st.

I'm really happy to se Sky on this selist too, Ange. ;D Great report, glad you had a brilliant time. and KamiMum was there too. aww. It's fab that Tassie got to hear D again after such a long wait, especially his amazing new RJ material. Can't say I agree with your "non-pro" camera suggestion at all venues, Shims. It doesn't make any difference how long your lens is these days. "Prosumers" or any decent digital camera can do a great job. The differentiation is meaningless, in my opinion. Since Damien never minds having his photo taken, I guess the only people they feel they are protecting by banning cameras are the professionals who sell their shots. However, I haven't seen too many of them about lately. Sorry for the digression, but it's a subject that is close to my heart. I think just allow cameras and be done with it. What are we going to do with them, except perhaps help to advertise their venue and Damien here and elsewhere? It really makes no logical sense to me.
