I'm completely in love with Plastic Man - Fantastic Man!!! I've always loved that Damien adds bonus unexpected songs as B-sides or exclusives and he promised us we'd hear this one, I'm so glad he added this as a bonus with Forgive Forget!! For me this is up there with some of my favourite songs Damien has written - and quite a few of those have been other bonus songs such as "Right Next to the Right One", "The Other Side" & "Song for Jarvis". I'm captivated by it's spare, whimsical melancholy. There is a sense of pathos, almost menace, only enhanced by the deceptively lilting waltz - a borderline danse macabre. It certainly does have a strange almost deranged circus feel - for me also very reminiscent of the acoustic soundtracks to some 60s films and the sorts of experimentation and fantastical imagery of songs like the Beatles Mr Kite, which almost seems to be the Plastic Man's cousin or at least kindred spirit. Damien's voice and lyrics are heartbreaking in this song - I can only hope he writes some more with Ilan Kidron, I LOVE this collaboration and I LOVE this song!!!!

So, if you don't use iTunes, is there any way to buy the EP with Hallelujah on it?

The EP isn't available on the Sanity website listings I've seen either. If you do get the EP elsewhere (Bandit), you'll get three songs on it: Forgive Forget, Harry and Plastic Man.
I believe Hallelujah is the i-Tunes exclusive bonus, fourth song, ODT.

I just listened to snippets of Harry and Plastic Man on some website that came up in my Google alerts. Harry sounds cool, can't wait to hear more of it (as in, the whole song ), and Plastic Man sounds very Jeff Buckley-ish, reminds me of Lilac Wine.

I don't see the JBness as that obvious, I have to say. It has a similar tempo but he two songs are very different lyrically, melodically and in mood. D's voice has been compared to JB in range and emotion, and he demonstrates that here, incredibly well. It's very much Damien and Ilan's song to me, however.

My updated review of Harry and Plastic Man.
I believe that my ITunes copy isn't as good a quality as my physical copy.
what I complained of before with Harry with the music coming in really loud I am NOT hearing on the physical copy. I really like this song.
Plastic Man, while still not my cup of tea regarding genre of music I can understand why so many of you like it. It is growing on me, and I too can sense the waltz type of dance. It would be a tremendous song to e played on Dancing With the Stars. The woman with her hair tied neatly back, the man with his hair slicked back and wearing 40's type clothing. Clarke Gable type lethario.
My ITunes downloads tend to skip at times and the sound is not great, so I have really noticed a difference since I have had the physical copy.

Trilly, I agree with what you said about "D's voice being hypnotic". I've just listened to Plastic Man for the first time and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT ! .

Just listened to my copy of FF (which I bought at D's show the other night) for the first time! Have only listened once, but I love all three songs already. Love the radio edit of FF. The start is really cool. FF is one of my favourite songs from RJ. Harry is an awesome song! Reminds me of Who You Are, and I also think it sounds a bit Mika-ish. BTW, does anyone know when it was written and/or recorded? Plastic Man is really nice. It's different, in a good way, and so peaceful. (I still think it sounds a bit Jeff Buckley-ish. ) Would love to hear any (or all!) of these three songs live. I wish Hallelujah was on the physical single. I felt like it ended too soon. It needed one more song. (Although I'd probably say it needed one more song even if Hallelujah was on it. )

I have only just downloaded the songs. I agree with Spud Plastic Man reminded me of Lilac Wine as well. I loved this song. Hallelujah is so very beautiful.

Forgot to mention that I love the single cover! I know I said I didn't like when we first saw the pic online, but in real life it looks really nice. It's possibly my favourite single cover of D's.
