And might I add the expression on our faces when we saw D in his hawt black outfit...hmmmm must go get that pic Damien was always so lovely, gracious and generous at these PR opportunities ;D thank you

Wow what a great idea. firstly I have to thank Braffy for introducing me, even though I have never met many of you this is like one big happy family. Every concert, every special moment shared with my friends and family, but WOW meeting Damien was like OMG nearly stuck for words at how genuine and how he makes all his fans feel. Favourite loved the atmosphere at Harrigans Jacobs Wells, and the crowd, so appreciative of his beautiful music. Ballina the hug and kiss , could not have felt more special than that. Loved A day on the green and who can forget him singing with his Akubra hat and so proud to be an Aussie, while flags flying everywhere. Special big thanks to my friend who rang me and told me to watch Idol. (No I never used to watch it) Damien was on and I was gobsmacked and have been since then. Love every CD and DVD and can trutHfully say.. I LOVE BEEN A MEMBER OF THE DLO. tHANK YOU DAMIEN you are a real and genuine entertainer in other words A FAIR DINKUM GOOD GUY.

This is a great idea. ;D I've enjoyed reading them all, and thanks D, for sharing yours, which has to be the #1 moment for all who were so priveleged to be there that night. It was magical! My other fave moments are several, but the one that makes me go all gooey when I recall it was when D stopped the car and spoke to me after the 2007 Grand Prix. I had met him only once before, and it was such a surprise when the big black Hummer pulled up beside me! I was on cloud nine as it was, having been up close while he performed (and even closer with my camera!), but the fact that he was so considerate and it was such a personal moment, I'll never ever forget how I felt. He was all hot and sweaty too.. yumm!! It's a wonder I was able to stammer out anything at all.. but I think I did OK. Another moment that comes close is of course meeting him for the first time..and surprising Krissy. That was magnificent! ;D and all the wonderful group moments with my friends from DLO, especially things like our road trip to Ballarat, at The Village Green, Milanos, Star City, The Basement and Brass Monkey and and.. just too many!!..and the many, many more to come, I hope.

Thank you for starting this thread Braffy, I loved reading over everyone's fave moments, there sure has been amazing times with our man! ;D And how lovely Damien for you to pop in and share your's with us, awww!! Just before I say anything, Damien if you happen to read this I just want to say that I wanted to be at the Listening Party more then anything! I cried and cried when I found out I couldn't make it, It sounded like such a special night, but I was there in spirit! OKAY! ;D There's a few that Immediately come to mind, though of course every concert and chance of seeing/meeting Damien has been beyond amazing! 1. I will never EVER forget the very first time I saw Damien and met him. As you all know, I was only 14 and a bit nuts so just the thought of seeing him was like... OMFG! Haha. That was the first time I met anyone from the forum as well, Trilly and Winter ;D I had "TEH PACKAGE SEATS!" Best seat in the house, Damien was so so close I could touch him! Then after an amazing show, and very much in teh coma, Trilly and Winter decide it was best to not tell me I was going backstage to MEET HIM! Then all of a sudden Trilly goes; "Ah Krissy, we got backstage passes, your going to meet him ;D " I let out the biggest freakin SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (That's where the Squee originated from ) And then meeting him was seriously the Night of my life! 2. Another memory would have to be my 16th Birthday Damien was playing at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, 10 MINS AWAY FROM ME! But I couldn't be there because I was doing stuff for my Bday with friends that day. Then all of a sudden my Dad gets a phone call and said It was Trilly, but then I got on the phone and then I hear "HIIIIII KRISSSY!!!". It was DAMIEN! wishing me a Happy Birthday, and I swear that was the bestest present IN THE WORLD! ;D All thanks to Trilly and the other girls! 3. BALLARAT ROADTRIP! was one hellva' weekend and so much fun with the other Melb Damienites ( And Kath and Starsis too! ;D ) We just had lots and lots of laughs and kinda 'dressed up' for the show, in our santa hats and glow sticks I mean! That was also the night Damien so sweetly gave us a mention to the rest of the audience! + teh santa package with Nobbies nuts and G string LOL! Oh oh oh! Trilly also jibbed and jabbed at George for me to go see Damien backstage (It worked) TRILLS I LOVE YA I just remember following Damien's voice cause I could hear him talking, and when I walked into the room he went "OH HELLO!!!" and came rushing over to me with a big hug and a kiss! *sighhhhhh*4. One more big one; First interstate trip to Sydney with Princey and Di! ;D Had a very fun weekend and again got mentioned by Damien for coming up all this way! AND THENNN he sang WCAT just for us! And Unchained Melody just for me! HAAA!

Wow, so many lovely memories!! I concur with many mentioned above, including the listening party, and find it hard to narrow them down........ I have lots of images running through my head, for which I am truly thankful!!! Sorry for not being able to narrow them down to less than 5! I guess mine would be: 1. all the little ways that Damien has made me feel like a special 'friend-fan' over the years here in WA... being smiled at and waved to and even mentioned by name at various concerts, being spotted in a big crowd at Telethon and getting a special wave, a one-of-a-kind hug on the Telethon red carpet, and a myspace message from Damien before I'd even got home from Telethon saying thanks for coming to see him and he hopes I enjoy reading the rest of his book (OMT).... I'm getting a lump in my throat just writing these memories down - thanks so much for them Damien, I will never forget those times!! 2. my first proper time of meeting Damien by brazenly walking backstage at the Rivervale Hotel the first time he was in Perth (I had briefly met him through a fence at Hyde Park earlier ), and being absolutely mesmerised by his beautiful eyes! 3. my first proper concert at the Octagon Theatre Perth with the full band... sitting in the front row with our feet on the stage... and being in absolute heaven!! 4. the challenge of finding a way to meet Damien, get backstage, or get the front row everytime Damien has been here in Perth!! I've been lucky that it's worked almost everytime!! 5. the wonderfully creative experience of compiling the WWL Tour Memory Book for Damien with Smiley and receiving a special thank you phone call from the man himself!! ......... and having the Damienites to share these experiences with (usually online) has always magnified the joy of them! Thanks for starting the thread Braffy....... the only trouble is that now I've sat here thinking and writing my memories down, it makes me want more!!! and now!!! ............ just one more mention - teh coma - feeling like a teenager again instead of the mature and sensible woman that I am has been an unexpected pleasure!!!

Great thread people! Here are a few more moments from me..... My first favourite moment was going to The Gov here in Adelaide with Kath and walking in on Damien's sound check (we were there soooo early to make sure we got good seats). D spotted us and waved and said "Hi Kath", then came over and gave her a hug. When I was introduced I got a lovely warm handshake and greeting and then George went to the venue manager to make sure we had front row seats reserved... and the show was FANTASTIC!!! Second best was the road trip to Ballarat and Capers, going to one more show in Melbourne than I had planned because I was having such a good time with the music and meeting all the Damienites! Meeting D by the stage door in Ballarat and having a chat and photo opportunity because everyone else had gone ;D and then really feeling one of the group when we saw him backstage at Capers And my latest good memory (and smug moment ) was here in Adelaide at the Parting Glass show when Kath and I lined up at the after show signing (at the end of the queue, hoping for a few extra moments with D) and he looked up and saw us and came straight round the front of the desk to give us both a hug and a kiss - we could just feel all the others going geen All in all, the music is fabulous, the man is so genuine and sweet - and patient - and it's all great fun.

You will find a trend running through here of how special Damien makes each and everyone of us feel. I don't even know if he realises just how special that little wave or nod to the direction of an individual makes them feel. I have another very personal memory that just made my day, especially after what I had been going through, and then on top of it all MrBraff being admitted to hospital with Kidneystones the day after Mum passed away. I too, love the Mothers Day Tribute. Not only do I love the song 'Wouldn't Change A Thing' but the fact that my Mum is part of that video. The song 'Goodnight' is also a lovely memory for me. A celebration mixed with sadness but very dear to me and I thank Damien for that song

Gosh Braffy... that brought a tear to my eye. This is such a BEAUTIFUL thread so thanks for starting it off. As you say, we hope Damien realises how special he makes us feel. I remember at Wellers this year I gave him a jar of home made Yo Yos. It was following the gigs where he was given mankinis, rude lollies etc. so he was probably expecting something a bit rude and on opening it, the surprised look on his face and he said, "Well, biscuits.... that look like.....ah.... biscuits!!! Crack up. What also melted my heart was when Princey told me that the following night at Milanos (which I didn't go to), he mentioned that the biscuits were yummy and Princey said it appeared he was looking amongst the girls to pick me out... she said he looked at Nicky (we're not unalike) but realised it wasn't me. He's such a darling.

Great Thread! ;D My most favourite moment "Damien Related" would be the LISTENING PARTEH!! That was just the most amazing time ever! To sit in the same room with Damien and Stu while we listened to his "baby" was surreal! Damien was so generous with his time I was excited and nervous (for some strange reason) and had such a great time! The album was all I had hoped it would be and better! The Album launch at THE STATE THEATRE was also a highlight for me! That was the BEST ever concert I've been to and with sooo many Damienites too! we had a an absolute ball!! and afterwards was just as brilliant! sharing the night with Angela and Paul until 3.30am I can remember most of that night!! (well the main bits anyway!) Also, recently in Gympie for mine and Bellas birthday! Wooot!! we had a blast! and all because of Damien! singing Happy Birthday to us, singing our requests, and (trying) to make us sing!! ha! that was never gunna happen! Also, a memorable time would be at the Brass Monkey with Carla, Sister and Dawn..Damien saw us and came over and chatted for awhile giving us compliments and being so lovely! both shows were fantastic and again, Damien sang a few songs he knew we all loved. Damien was just the best! Another moment for me, was when Trilly won the Auction in Melbourne! where she won 2x tix to Star City, backstage pass and dinner and hotel for 2. She asked me to go with her and share the experience with her! I was blown away to say the least. ;D We had such a great time,....again another very early morning!! and that was one of the first times I got to meet sooo many Damienites too! Ok, I'd better leave it there for now! I really have so many great memories "Damien Related". alot of them on our Road Trips with the Brissy tarts! the antics and laughs never stopped and still don't!! ha. We always get up to mischief when we get away! Love you guys and Damien too of course

I seriously have goosebumps reading all the lovely stories. Well I had been to a few shows long before I knew about this wonderful place called DLO and had always managed to sit right down the front which was amazing so I guess I was meant to be a Damienite. My first meeting with D after joining this group was at the Gaels Club I had booked to go 2 nights in a row ,so Hubby was with me so I line up to get my CD signed and Braffy had said mention you are from DLO so I said Hi Damien I'm from DLO and he says Hi you must be Kazzababe I've been waiting for you to say Hi .My hubby was a bit stunned . So back I come here and so my first ever report which I started with the words OH MY GO THE MAN IS SEX ON LEGS well no one here bothered to tell me he reads the goings on so imagine my horror when I line up the next night and find out he has read my comments and then tells me so had his mum but he of course was great just blushed a little bit asked me did I like his new hair cut and kissed and hugged me.Hubby stunned again The listening Parteh words cannot ever describe the emotions that went through me and everyone else there that night we were all so priveleged to be there and the fact that D showed up made it even more special, also the fact thet every one of us there never ever forgot about those of you who couldn't be there. Of course that little look of recognition and that smile Directed at you in the audience he just makes you feel so good. I also have a very special memory of being at Mounties with my DD and dancing up the back and singing along and to my surprise Eileen's mum came up and held our hands and danced with us and chatted a little a beautiful lady indeed . Meeting all you like minded people has been the best thing ever and I am proud to call myself a Damienite
