Armed with a microphone and camera, WHO caught up with all the big names on the MTV AVMA red carpet

WHO was on the red carpet with microphones at the ready to catch all the goss from the star-studded 2007 Australian MTV Awards, held on 29 April at Sydney's Acer Arena.

DAMIEN LEITH AND WIFE EILEEN

Are you worried that Eileen might go into labour while you're performing?
Damien: No, we're feeling good. The baby's not due for two weeks now and there's no indication so far that we're going to get a surprise visit.

Has Jarvis been suggesting names?
Damien: No, he just comes up and kisses the stomach and goes, 'ba ba ba ba ba ba'.

Do you know if you're having a boy or girl?
Damien: No.

Have you got names in mind?
Eileen: We've got a few but not saying them just in case.
Damien: There was some story a while back where someone said the name to a friend and the friend said, 'That's the name I always wanted' so we're keeping it a secret now and we'll see what happens.

How you feeling about tonight?
Damien: I'm really excited about performing.

Are you nervous to be on the same stage as all these huge international acts?
Damien: It's a little bit nerve wracking. There are some big acts there. You know when you're walking down the corridors and seeing all these names on doors and seeing them you think, 'Geez, this is big'. I'm a fan of just about every one of them there — they're all great.

Were there any pics with the article Christyl? The only thing I didn't like in that interview was the part where Damien says

So Jarvis talks eh?

I am so with him on keeping the name to yourself. I had a similar experience where Hubby and I had chosen a name and friends said how that was the name they were having for their child. We then tried to think of an alternative and luckily we had the opposite sex. The other couple never had children so potentially we would have missed out on a name that we both had liked.

Poor guy sounds a bit overwhelmed! Even if you don't like these big names, it's overwhelming to be on the stage with someone like that. I wonder if he bumped into Nicole Richie during the night?

What I wouldn't give for a sound clip of Damien going 'bababa'
Why not just name it 'Bump', since Jarvis can kind of say it already? ;D
