I agree with Dawn and Braffy about D's weight. I was quite shocked when I saw him in February and how thin he was looking. I know a lot of contestants who go on this show lose weight and I am a just a little worried that D could be pushing himself too much.

It will be an experience for him and hopefully we get to see some sexy moves. ;D

Mr G reads the paper every day before me and as we had to go out I didn't see it. My SonIL told me at lunchtime that Damien was going to be on DWTS!! When I said I didn't know he was very pleased to have found it first (this time at least!)

I actually never watch this show, but this time Mr G is just going to have to suffer it or I'll use the other TV and sit by myself! There!!!!!

I'm sure that despite what Damien likes to say about his dancing - he'll surprise quite a few of the judges (in studio and at home) with his moves! This is one season of DWS that I'm actually interestd in watching

I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow night to have it confirmed

Television presenter Samantha Armytage has announced that she will take part in the upcoming season of the Seven Network's reality series Dancing with the Stars.

Armytage confirmed she had signed on for the eleventh season of the reality series during Weekend Sunrise this morning.

"I'm having a lot of fun, but there is so much to learn, it's so terrifying."

The confirmation follows earlier news that socialite Brynne Edelsten will take to the dance floor; along with model Lara Bingle who last week tweeted:

"Today I met my dance partner for #DWTS. Guess Who??"

The Daily Telegraph also reports today that retired cricketer Nathan Bracken will compete alongside his model wife Haley Rich-Bracken. Former pro-surfer Mark Occhilupo, singer Damien Leith, and Home and Away’s Dan Ewing are also rumoured to take part.

Seven is expected to confirm the entire 2011 dancing line-up on Today Tonight on Monday.

I feel another spray tan coming on , but shirtless , as cute as he may be to us crazy bunch , I don't think that would win him any extra votes !

My first thought is that is time I ran out and got myself a reliable device for recording tv programmes. Once upon a time, one couldn't live without a VCR, but over the last couple of years I have gotton used to not being able to record tv. I'm not going to miss this one

The Seven Network has confirmed the contestants for ‘Dancing with the Stars’ 2011. They include:

- Samantha Armitage (Seven News/ Weekend Sunrise presenter)
- Lara Bingle (Model)
- Nathan Bracken (Former Aussie Cricketer)
- Haley Rich-Bracken (Nathan Bracken wife)
- Mark Occhilupo (Former competive surfer)
- Brynne Edelsten (American wife of Dr. Edelsten)
- Manu Fieldel (‘My Kitchen Rules’ Host & Chef)
- Damien Leith (Former Australian Idol Winner)
- Dan Ewing (Home & Away actor)
- Nick Bracks (Model/ Son of former Victorian Premier)

Daniel MacPherson and Sonia Kruger (pictured) will return as hosts of the new series.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ is set to premiere in May on the Seven Network.

I found the link but they still have last years contestants up, hopefully they will change it soon but you can only get 2 tickets at a time for one show and there's no guarantee that you will be successful. I guess we can apply for each show and try our luck

Ha! Do you guys remember when D was working with Lara Bingle and they said something about a tv thing together? This must of been it! I'm guessing.

And everyone else on that list is crap!! Except it would be kinda funny to watch Nathan Bracken, since I'm really into Cricket and everything. BUT DAMIEN WILL BE THE FOCUS OF COURSE Would love to get seats! But I know how hard it is!

Di, Lara was auditioning for a TV hostess type role and Damien was her 'interview'. Apparently she didn't quite cut it for the position she was going for and then of course all the other stuff happened around her. That was 12 months ago.
