I can't believe I'm replying to you Tina... there goes my resolve! Meanwhile am replaying last week's ep for D's dance... just to compare his slide to Jarvis' ;D So glad you had a back-up to the dance tonioght tho. I would've had such a problem concentrating with a phone call knowing damien was finally dancing! But you gotta get priorities right don't you??? Like me doing the dishes and uniforms Lol... siiiiigh Isn't it great seeing Damien and Mel perform. I so agree with all comments and Shimmery - the not so cheesey style of Mel is so great - I love how theatrical her style is but very classy and not soap - har d for me to describe... but I like it anyway!

I can't really describe it either - other than I like it! They work & dance together so well! I loved in the piece before the dance how they were both explaining what they were focused on this week. It was like Todd said last week, get all the steps and routine ready to go, then let the colour of the routine come - it seems a great way to approach it and think about it, and is great to hear all these professional inside tips on how they approach giving it that polish and edge!

Absolutely Awesome. They nailed the Foxtrot and were the only pair to do it properly. I am just astounded at how well D is using his legs and feet, those smooth long steps were spot on...loved it and they thoroughly deserved their three 9s and best performance of the night. They both looked wonderful and positively radiated sexiness.....oh my gosh...that was hot stuff and the professionalism of them after the vocals mishap even amazed the judges. Mel is a terrific teacher and choreographer and Damien is a simply fantastic student and performer. An ideal pairing Was lovely to see all the family and the dancing boys hehe very cute....wow!!

I got up early to watch it all again and again. And of course to vote. They said on Idol that he was stealing the show and he is doing it again. Mel is such a beautiful dancer nothing false or cheesy about her she is so natural.

Thank you so much everyone involved in your running commentary. Sorry Deb, but I was hanging out to hear how it went and who was eliminated etc. Myy sister sent me a message on a new sim that I have bought over here to tell me that Damien danced well and was on top, but I had npo idea if that was the end of the show or anything else. While I am thnking of it, in case anyone has tried or will try to send me an SMS = you can't. My phone number does not work outside Australia. I have just tied to play the yahoo link but I can't play it in this region so I will be waiting to play the megaupload link. I will be going to bed now. We have been out all day on the tour from 8am to 9.30 pm and we need to be up at 5.30 am. It is now 11.30 You lot are getting up and I am going to bed. Thanks again

Just wanted to add my appreciation of Mel as a choreographer. She's brilliant! ;D She ueses the whole floor, creates wonderful characters, and adapts to suit D fantastically. I agree with Tina, some ballroom artists are incredibly cheesy, but apart from one or two necessary moments last night (hey, it's BALLROOM, people!) her routine was pretty cheese-free and really believable. LOVED IT!! Can I say that again, LOVED It! That's not to mention being a kick-arse dancer herself! Damien is incredibly lucky to have her as his partner. Mind you I think she's pretty lucky herself! *swoon*

Damien was amazing He's just so talented at everything, it's the same as Idol he's a class above everyone else, and Mel is fantastic they look great together. And he looked absolutely gorgeous.
I liked Lara Bingle she danced really well, but Manu wasn't very good.

Had a good night .. it was good seeing Damien live but just not sure if I would do it again ! We were sitting right at the front & middle right opposite the band... but had all the cameras in front of us most of the night so really couldn't see a lot of the dancing and the seats just weren't the most comfortable I will have to watch the whole show again, my friend has taped it for me I think the seats on the sides were best probably for family, friends and I think people that won competitions on the radio ! We were the ones that had to make all the noise We had the guy telling us when to & cheer...but when Damien was on & when he finished I let out a scream & he said shhhhhhhhhh A little disappointed that I didn't get to say "Hi" to Damien, but at the end they were doing interviews and we sort of got kicked out otherwise it wasn't a bad night Damien was HOT !!!!

Hey Di! It sounds like we had a better view at home. What a shame. and what a pity you couldn't say hi to teh Man, but I guess it's non -stop for the contestants on the night. It would have beeen quite amazing to soak up the atmosphere, I guess though, huh? ;D Questions, questions! How long did the ep take to film? Was there anything we didn't see? and what can you tell about the musical technical hitch D and Mel had? Did you notice it in the studio? Thanks hun! here's the ep link on Yahoo, if you haven't seen it. au.tv.yahoo.com/dancing-with-the-stars/video/

Haha! Nice Di! ;D I agree with Trilly, sounds like it's a better fiew from home. But I would still love to go just once for the experience. I was also wondering if that was you squeeing Turns out it was! Can't stop watching it! Damien just flows across the dance floor with ease, while with everyone else it seems like such an effort.
