Cool!! You guys write such good reports! Glad it all went off well and super thrilled that the families loved it too! Always heartening to get feedback from people who aren't quite as as we are...not that we could ever be accused of bias... Looking forward to the photos! And about the sideprojects.... I wonder what he's up to? The curiosity will be playing havoc with my mind til we find out...I have never been good at waiting! Thanks guys!

Thanks Trilly & Dawn for your reports-- Trilly mentioned about the sound being better in the back half of the centre more so than the front section and when I had a look at how ticket sales were going last week I thought it a bit strange that the seats at the back were selling so much quicker than the front at this venue --um I suppose a bit of local knowledge here
At least he will have a breather from concerts until Oct 6 I think to rest his voice.
TV voice overs very interesting
Dee Why is virtually a sell out with only a couple of scatted seats left and Castle Hill is selling out quickly as well.
I noticed that ROY has moved up two places on the Australian albums chart from 14 to 12.

Brian, the best spot in most venues to sit, from a purely aural appreciation perspective, is usually near the sound desk. After all, that's where the audio is controlled from, so that's where the focal point tends to be. Also, this venue was flat in the first section, but tiered in the back section, allowing for those in the back to have great viewing as well. I guess the ticket sellers considered them the best seats. :)That's quite a common set-up, I've found. Damien and I had a conversation a little while ago about sound quality. I guess he noticed that I sometimes close my eyes when I'm listening intently. Have to say that I'm torn though. I love being up close, watching him watching us, haha, but it is fab to hear him sing from the most advantageous position. Thanks guys for the lovely comments.

Damien was hilarious playing with it, he seemed to be totally bamboozled and a tad concerned bwahaha! and from where in was sitting I couldn't tell either!
