Kept ducking out to keep up with the forum comments, so really did go through it all with you...the feeling ill, the elation from their dancing, the gutted feeling, the tears...especially when Mel started to cry...my very sick friend Marcia rang meand croaked "we was robbed" Haley wasn't even in proper time with the music, how could they get 3 tens? (she's done musical theatre for a looooong time) and Manu doesn't actually dance....so she went back to bed feeling extra  Loved when they showed D's and Mel's journey, showed how much he has worked and improved. Like all of you, feel that the dynamic duo are truly winners and so absolutely gracious.  Bummer Ch7, won't be watching that show or your Channel again unless a certain singing, writing, dancing star is on   |

I have loved the past ten weeks with DLO and my Australian friend being the link to Damien and Mel's progress on DWTS, waiting patiently for the uploads Trilly and Astrokath put so much effort into, and loving all the banter, which is part of DLO.

I can remember now why I stopped watching this show years ago.  I changed channels as soon as it was announced Damien and Mel would be eliminated   and only found out who the winner was this morning as I was watching Sunrise. What a surprise ! I feel sorry for Hayley. |

Damien and Mel were fantastic I'm so annoyed at the whole show, it was just like one big advert for the chefs new show. As soon as the judges gave the chef higher scores than Damien you could see what was going to happen. I was like Glawz thinking all night about ringing Channell 7 and telling them what I think and that I won't be watching DWTS again, and I'm still going to ring them.
Damien should be proud of what he has done and he's won a lot of new fans.

First Second or Third it does not matter being in to the last week does in my view and this is the view I had before final.
The best thing about last night was how not only did he dance well but more importantly it was how humble and how he was able to leave the show in the best possible way and who knows as to what may come his way----Because of the way he conducted himself.
This show will be a terrific boost for his career.

I'm still feeling pretty sad too girls. But I'm just remembering how freakin awesome Damien was throughout DWTS, and how much joy he brang to our lounge rooms every Sunday night.  Also how amazing he was at the Palms on Friday night!   I just want to see his beautiful face again! I miss him!  Roll on November!! Roxy and Brian your comments from all of this is so right. Damien is still a winner, this will hopefully be a career boost in the right direction for him and his family too! And weren't we lucky to have him and Mel entertain us for the last few weeks. It gave us all something to look forward to.
In our hearts we all had an idea what would happen last night, but Damien and mel went out humbly and with the greatest of dignity. All our support was there behind them both.
Angela and Eils and family you must be all so proud of your man, he is just the nicest of people.
Goodluck Mel, you were stunning, a gorgeous gorgeous lady.

I could not be prouder of Damien for the way he danced and conducted himself through the entire show. He was so funny...humble and of course entertaining, week after week. We all know he is a winner  I am still feeling pretty peeved off about how the show was run and how they obviously picked the winner they wanted...but as some of you have said...Damien came out of this with SOOOO many new fans and he really showed such a lovely heartwarming side to his personality and lets face it...he is a born entertainer. Well done Mr Leith...we adore you! And congrats to the beautiful Mel too....x |
