Great idea Krissy! ;D After finally getting my vids to work, I think my number one dances are ALL the dances D did in the GF, the kick-arse freestyle especially, in a dead heat with the Argie Tango Next, the Quickstep and the foxtrot, can't separate them. Then, the JIVE and the gorgeous Trad Waltz *swwooon* Oh god, just about everything!! I also have to say that watching again the emphatic and marvellous way Damien and Mel exited this comp has left me smiling today, all trace of sadness gone. ;D They were simply MAGNIFICENT!!

I have just finished reading this thread and I can tell you that I was going through all the same emotions that you were last night. Damien was certainly cheated out of being in the final 2. It would have been a fairer result if that is what had happened. I am sorry but I can't feel any elation for Manu. He doesn't deserve it and if I was a Hayley fan I would be so upset right now. I am upset for Damien, but as you have all mnentioned, he is still a winner anyway and the way he left the show showed what a true professional he is. I loved his Freestyle dance and it definitely would have scored 30. No way was Manu's dance a 30 but he had to be given that to be on top of the leaderboard so that when his name was announced as the winner it wouldn't have been such a 'shock'. A funny thing happened this morning........I was having my shower and thinking about Damien's farewell chat and talking about how fantastic Eileen is and how supportive and then I realised that 'C'mon Eileen' was playing on the radio. *spooky feeling* Damien and Melanie were a fabulous dancing couple and thoroughly deserved the accolades that they received. Well done Damien and Melanie.

Not forgetting Smiley that in the dance off, Damien was the furtherst away from the judges and Manu was closest to them. It appeared that way when I was watching it. I may be wrong, if so, I apologise for my error

Noice choices there Trills and Smiley. ;D I have to agree that Last nights dances were just brilliant, so I will put them up there in equal 5th! Now back to the show last night..I have watched a little of it again this am and noticed a couple of things that make my blood boil for D & M...( and to further confirm the manipulation of the outcome) On Damien & Mel's Samba there was no set decoration AT ALL..nothing..zip..nada... Hayley had the massive backdrop of ripped billowing red drape in front of the orchestra and smoke machine ..and of course MFU had not one but TWO massive billboards framed in lights that essentially said "MFU & Alana winners of the Grand Final DWTS". (it was at this stage I just threw my hands in the air and accepted that D & M would be first out..which in a way made it easier for me to accept when it happened...can't fight City Hall ) Next observation was the score the judges gave Damo & Mel for their "redemption dance" Samba..originally in week 3 they got 20 (5,7,8) ..last night they got 23(7,8,8) and with smoke and mirrors they made it seem like that was a big improvement in judges scores..but while Todd gave 2 more points (when he ridiculously underscored the first time anyway-it was only week 3!!!) Helen only gave ONE extra point and Josh didn't give him any more?? Smell meet rat. Next little item is the dance MFU had for his redemption...Damien's lowest scoring dance was indeed the Samba..HB's lowest scoring dances were Chacha & Arg Tango..obvious choice given the "dance off" was Cha cha that she do AT..all good...still with me? So what was MFU's lowest scoring dance? Was it Foxtrot? ..oh what's that I hear you say? It wasn't? Well fancy that.. it was the Rumba. But that might have been a bit harder for the judges to give an inflated score to MFU to do ... My top 5 Krissy.. 1. Foxtrot 2.Argentine Tango 3. Jive 4.Quickstep 5.Tango Completely, 100% agree with your observations Smiley. Damien improved on that Samba 100 TIMES BETTER! Those hips were surely moving ( ) and he seemed a lot more comfortable in this dance. It definitely deserved all 9's, even 10's for all that effort. When Toad was saying his comments, I thought he seemed to really like it, and then he still gives a ridiculous score!! Total BS, BIG SMELLY RAT THERE! It's like he said himself a few weeks ago, "RIGHT! Because we all love Manure ( ) and a Ch 7 personality HAS TO WIN, I'm gonna have it in for Damien and give him hell ;D " Well, up yours!I also did notice HB and that other thing (sick of saying his name now! ) got fancy backdrops etc. From that moment, you knew they were rubbing it in and really pushing who the final two would be. They never even gave Damien a chance! But in the end, WE ALL KNOW WHO THE REAL WINNER IS! ;D And like a lot of you have said already, he has showed everyone his beautiful personality and gained plenty more fans from this.

Oh rats. Oh bugger *siiigh* I am compelled, by the example of t he classiest bloke in the damn world, Mr Damien Leith, to be gracious and courteous and say CONGRATULATIONS, MANU. *wan smile* PS. You still can't make me like him, D. ha but I'll admit, he's a character.

Yep, I saw that on D's fb page Trills. Smiley, those pics with the fairy dust don't show on my 'puter.. just a white box with red X in the corner. Any idea how I can see them? Obviously we're all feeling a little brighter today, but I'm still sad for D and Mel. Trying to be more positive and getting there.

Thanks so much for the youtube uploading & links Kath I can watch these on our 'other' computer I'm so over the competition result as being an indication of anything really meaningful. Did you see Josh's facial squirm as he finished his comments to Manu after the group dnace-off? (I think Josh felt rather uncomfortable knowing what he was part of...) But oh well... I can honestly say congratulations to Manu and best of luck to him and his new show. The result is as we expected (though not wished!) but has been an even more wonderful total experience for Damien. Thanks Krissy for giving us a really happy way to celebrate Damien's and our joy with his performances at just the right time too My dance preferences would be, today:
1. Foxtrot I still remember the thrill & surprise at how great we discovered D could be! 2. Cha cha cha - same as the Foxy WOW! surprise but so much fun!!! (loved #1 but also the first group dance) 3. Argentine Tango (How HAWT was that??! 4. Gangter Quickstep (I can't get his oh so happy smile off my mind! ;D or off my face watching it Lol But also the stunning GF Quickstep WOWEEEEE!!!! 5. Rhumba (mmmmmmm definitely the schmexy-man - totally coordinated in my eyes ) I checked with Trilly's MU list because my ones above were only the ones that I thought of straight away... so must be favs oh no... I can't work out how to squeeze in the GF Samba, still loved the Jive too... and the GF cha cha... aaaargh! there are still others ;D They can be my favs for tomorrow
