Wow, that is really good. It is a 6 part show and starts on Sunday 20th November. That means it will end on Christmas Day. He definitely IS the man of the moment. *rushes off to buy the paper*

Wow! He can't stand still for a minute, can he? ;D Sounds like it could be a great vehicle for Damien. Thanks for the link Dawn, I don't think it's in our paper.

jumped out of bed to get the news from all of you, I don't need the paper, just you guys! Roxy's link says ch7 and ch72. Nov 20 - cool, thanks for waiting until I get back from Bali . Wonder what time slot? Wild Boys should be done by then in the 7.30 slot. I guess the Sunday night show will prob be finished for the year by then. Then again, depending how much they have invested in the show it is also suitable for a 5.30pm on Sundays, time slot? ?

There's a (very small) piece about this in this week's Sun-Herald TV guide. It says:
Test recipe Seven has signed Damien Leith to front its food-themed series New Idea Test Kitchen. The series will feature New Idea food director Barbara Northwood and food editor Pamela Jones. Leith is a former Australian Idol winner who also appeared on Dancing with the Stars. Test Kitchen starts next month.
So that says Seven, not 7TWO, but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean it's on Channel 7, since obviously Seven owns 7TWO anyway.

Reading your link Roxy it sounds like a brilliant concept.

so excited about this and so so so happy for Damien and his ever-growing media conquests!!!! It sounds like such a fun show, I used to love that Saturday Kitchen show which used to be on, just love weekend kitchen style shows when you've got a chance to take things in and really enjoy, and it's a nice time of year to have it on too when everyone's getting in a festive frame of mind and wanting to learn new cooking things, just love the whole idea!!! He was such a natural that time cooking on the Morning Show, I hope we get to see him cooking but not sure from what we can see so far. There's another article here which seems to indicate it's both Seven and 7TWO: mumbrella.com.au/pacmags-to-launch-new-idea-test-kitchen-tv-series-59044 PacMags to launch New Idea Test Kitchen TV series
Pacific Magazines title New Idea is to launch a new television series on sister TV network Seven.
New Idea Test Kitchen will air nationally on 7TWO and Seven from November.
The six-week series will focus on recipes, seasonal food selections and tips from cooking experts on Christmas and summer entertaining.
The launch will be supported by a marketing campaign including print, online and point-of-sale promotion.
CEO of Pacific Magazines Nick Chan said: “This one-of-a-kind program will bring more than 100 years of New Idea’s cooking expertise to life, and allow New Idea to become a completely integrated brand, reaching more Australians than ever before with content spanning print, television and online.”Really looking forward to it and Damien - you just AMAZE me how you do all this, just one of your roles is a full time one and you do so many - you're a one man entertainment industry!!!

Damien, you're not as good at keeping secrets as you think! Roxy and I guessed a cooking show was on the cards AGES ago! At least he isn't competing. I'll say something for Mr Leith, he's certainly up for new challenges! It should be fascinating watching him in a different environment. His natural charm, curiosity and sense of humor should take him a long way and make this show fun! Maybe when this project is completed we can have a Damienite BBQ, with D being the guest chef! ;D He can use all the tips he's picked up hosting this show! And yes, Roxles, the tea towels make a lot of sense now! I'll have to unpick that pillowcase! I'm with you too, Smilificus. More detail please D!
