ARIA is also pleased to announce that our 25th anniversary ARIA Awards will be broadcast on th No.1 digital channel GO! from 7.30pm, Sunday 27 November.

Damien is nominated in the peer voted Best Adult Contemporary Album section for Roy - A Tribute To Roy Orbison.
We are also urging all of his fans to vote for him in the Australia's Favourite Live Artist category which you can do on Facebook. ;D

Since we have no info re what time D's New idea Test kitchen is going to be broadcast or even which day yet, it's a tad early for that worry yet, I think Deb. I know that you're in WA and the three hour time difference in Summer makes things difficult. However, if it does come to pass that they clash, maybe you could record one and watch the other?  |

I have only just turned it on in time to see Billy Thorpe's family accepting the award for the same category as Damien was nominated in.
Best Contemporary Album - Tangier.
Best Live artist is next but Damien didn't make the final cut.

Rant: I'm so biast but I don't care!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D What a crock of s***  The standard of the Aria's cease to amaze me every year, I mean it's getting worse and worse. And I can't believe I sat through all that crap, and then to watch Damien get robbed of his nomination. Well done Aria *claps sarcastically* I know he was up against John Farham, but still! Watched from the beginning and has been a few highlights, best of the night so far for mine was the duet with Gurrumul and Missy Higgins, the duet with Gotye & Kimbra and the memorium song by Delta of The Day You Went Away. All gorgeous moments. Loved that Molly was there for Kylie's Hall of Fame moment too. Would have been great if Damien won his category but so happy also that Billy Thorpe won for his masterpiece final album. Beautiful and fitting for a legend of decades to have that final mark of respect from his industry and a very special moment to see his family accept the award. Haven't seen Damien on the broadcast yet but there are some gorgeous pics of him and Eils from the red carpet, the one linked above from Braffy is also on popsugar.com.au 's gallery and Damien himself tweeted a great pic from their car on the way to the show. Love the lace on Eil's top, she looks absolutely stunning and how cool is Damo's suit!! Gorgeous tie/shirt combo, has the complete primo-suave rocker look!!   |

Yes, it is a great pity that Damien did not receive an Aria Award this time.  But no worries! His sold out shows all over Australia and his many happy fans are more important!!! Hi, Damien, keep on singing, writing, dancing, cooking - and always be our IDOL!!!  (By the way, not every Aria Award winner tonight deserved the prize!)  |

Glad you said it all for me, Krissy! ARIA show is a total drag, I thought it was just my age! Never heard of at least half of the artists . So proud of Damien  for just being there  But three hours and not so much as a glimpse, oh yeah, there was the clip that went with the nomination. Nice to see the pic with Ruby on the Red carpet, sorry it didn't make the TV cut  |

Great that I have to come here to see that lovely shot of D and Eils Okay 3 hrs less sleep needed tonight as I was brain dead zzzzzz for most of the show, so absolutely bored....nice to see Kylie, a deserved induction. Thanks for the link Braffy |
