Nice catch, Princey! I have just worked out that Newcastle Permanent must be a credit union - to start with I thought the carols were just a yearly fixture

Dawn won't be going but there was a bit of interest initially from some others on the Forum. Not sure if that is still happening, but yes I will be going on my own.

Unfortunately, during this concert it had to be called off. The rain became too much and the wind had picked up too.
Liam Burrows (Aus Got Talent) was in the middle of his 2nd song and he was told to stop singing. The rain had damaged the electricals and they were hoping that it would get underway again but it was not possible.
So, while it hadn't even turned 'dark' I was already on my way home looking like a drowned rat. I had the wet weather gear, but it was just too heavy and with the wind it wasn't very pleasant.
It was a shame though. I would loved to have known what Damien was going to sing.
It was disappointing for him too plus Eric and Cesar.

The photo that Damien p[osted on Twitter/Facebook didn't reflect the numbers that were there. There were a lot of people on the ground and many, many more up in the Stands. The photo would have been taken after the huge downpour and a lot had headed for the stands.
It happened about an hour into the concert with over 2 hours to go.
