It was so lovely to be in a venue where one can get up and dance if the mood strikes -which it did! The pub- like atmosphere was great for just enjoying the music and D's humour..but unfortunately he had bronchitis, which restricted his choice of songs. however he still managed an awesome Crying and (modified) Hallelujah, much to the crowd's delight. An interesting song choice tonight was Everybody's Talking, which which we haven't heard for a while... and D's amazing ability to give his all, regardless of his difficulties whilst on stage. He is such a trouper and although this wasn't the " Roy Show " with the big ballads, D and the band still entertained the appreciative local audience with the rockin numbers plus the always cool Stairway To Heaven tonight. ;D D was barely able to speak after tonight's gig so we understood why he could not poke his head out to see us. Felt the love from Eric and other band members though. 'Twas so lovely seeing Carla, her sister and daughter again . and just rockin out to Mean Woman Blues, Handle With Care and Pretty Woman tonight, nothing else matters. ;D PS Had my cameras so I think I have some decent shots too! .

Ah, good stuff Trilly, thank you. Glad you, Carla and co had a fantastic night. ;D Not so good about D having Bronchitis though! Eek! Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery. (Damien, god love ya, you trooper!) Just goes to show how dedicated he is, sick or not!! Re setlist: Sometimes it's nice to hear the songs we haven't heard in a while. Sounded like a good mix though! Can't wait to see some of those shots Trilly. We all know you never disappoint!

Thanks guys. Forgot to mention the highlight of this gig for me. D sang "A Child Is Born", the Christmas song he's recorded with Tommy Emmanuel. Wow, so beautiful, (even with his chest infection.) Absolutely loved it and can't wait to get the recorded version. Eric was a very good stand in for Mr E! Had a nice chat to Zoltan, who some of us will remember played with D on the last tour, who lives locally. Damien, hope you and Diana recover quickly from your lurgies, and thanks so much for being such a total professional

Oh gosh poor D and Diana, bronchitis is a nasty bug He is so amazing....others have been known to cancel shows, but we've seen him pull off the most fantastic shows whilst being terribly ill....Live at The Basement and on TV "Mad World" with laryngitis . Hope he recovers quickly Thank you so much for the report Trilly siggggh Stairway to Heaven oohhhh and "A Child Is Born" preview how lovely. I remember that Zoltan lived locally, Adam did too.
