I've never bothered with Itunes, as I have always preferred to have a physical copy of my chosen CD's.
Anyway I decided I would take a look at the new ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS cd and see if I would like to buy the whole album or just a few favourites from it. Of course I had to take a look at Damien's list while I was there.
Well I was thrilled to find some long forgotten and even unknown songs which I quickly purchased and burned to a disc so that I could listen at home and in the car. As I have never been one to buy singles or EP's ( well not since I was 12 anyway!) There was a list that I have never gotton to know.
Here is my "NEW" list of songs
1. Song for Jarvis - have only ever heard it on youtube, love it
2. Who You Are - previously unknown to me
3. Baby Jane - very catchy, very CATCH THE WIND,
4. Harry - don't know this one, presume it's original, love to know the story. I don't remember a Harry, in the Remember June novel.
5. Plastic Man - what can I say, again only seen it on youtube, but it just grows and grows, each time I listen. It's sublime. I would adore to see this back in some live shows next year. Just D on stage alone with a single spotlight on him (I just gave myself butterflies thinking of that whilst listening to the song )
6. The other side - The "Ba ba baba baaa" opening, kind hits me in the face, as it kicks in just as Pastic Man has melted me away. But it will grow on me. Again I had never heard this one.
7. California Blue - without Itunes I never thought I would have the chance to hear this one. Not sure what attracted D to this song, but I guess not every song can be a huge grand song. A bit average , but every song he sings turns into a favourite of mine, eventually!
8. Right next to the right one- gorgeous, gorgeous
So, I have titled my new cd 'ALTERNATIVE DAMIEN' .It is so exciting to have virtually a whole CD worth of new music to listen to and as it is christmas I have all of those songs to listen to also. I am in heaven
Just to fill me in, are they all originals except for B.JANE and C.BLUE?
