I'm hoping it's not Country as well, but I will still buy his album and support him even if it is.

Flat out right now finishing of my new album- sounding so good. This week I'm off to America to work in Nashville again with the very talented Marti Frederiksen.
Have a safe trip Damien.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Martin Harold Frederiksen (born July 1, 1962) is an American songwriter, record producer, and musician. He writes and produces music primarily in rock, country, and pop. He is best known for his work with many hard rock bands including Daughtry, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Fuel, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, Buckcherry, Black Veil Brides and film soundtracks. Career With Aerosmith
Frederiksen has worked with Aerosmith since the mid-1990s. He is one of the "Boneyard Boys", the collaborative group of musicians responsible for much of the creative, songwriting, and production efforts in Aerosmith; Mark Hudson, Steven Tyler, and Joe Perry are the other members of this group.
Frederiksen has co-written several of Aerosmith's songs since the mid-1990s, including four of the songs on 1997's Nine Lives (including the single "Nine Lives"), ten of the songs on 2001's Just Push Play (including the singles "Jaded", "Fly Away From Here", and "Sunshine"), both of the new songs on 2002's O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits (including the single "Girls of Summer"), and the lone original track on the 2004 cover album Honkin' on Bobo ("The Grind").

Have been hoping for some hints and must confess that the check shirt worried me as I like Country as much as I like Polkas Ditto!! I'd rather poke myself in the eye than listen to country!! not my fav genre at all here's hoping it's not!! ;D keeping the faith until we hear more!

So, D's headed back to Country Central, eh? Again, we don't know that's what he's doing, but it's sounding more and more like it. Country is a broad genre though, it encompasses anything from rocky to acoustic sounds. It may suit his pure voice and his emotionality because it's mainly "misery" songs, lost love etc. Some of it I can tolerate, but not much. Sigh. Oh well, we'll know eventually won't we.

Exciting times ahead. I think it's going to be terrific. Damien knows what his doing and he sounds very upbeat and happy about this album. We all know soon enough

It's funny how "a checked shirt" conjured up "country" with everyone! Will be interesting to see what the album sounds like! ;D

lol & meanwhile my mind went straight to inner urban/industrial when I saw the check shirt teamed with teh rock jeans & shoes, I was surprised when I saw all the country discussion! Can't wait to hear all about the new album & what style it actually is!! As Brian says, Damien is sounding really happy about it and that's most exciting of all as he sounds like he's in his stride at the moment. Hope we will hear more soon, so fabulous for Damien there's another trip to Nashville involved! What a hub to be recording in, just imagining the amazing people he must be meeting and working with!!!

I was going to say there's more to Nashville than country. (have only just caught up with the comments here) but then I saw Damo's message.
