I hope that track-listing isn't in order - why would you open an album with End Of The Line??!

I hope that track-listing isn't in order - why would you open an album with End Of The Line??! To set the scene, if it's a retrospective story. Geez, thought that was kinda obvious, ODT. Looking forward to getting it in my "hot little hands" too, Glawzy! It's so much fun to anticipate, but hearing it will be even better!! ;D

End Of The Line - lyrics
(chorus 1) Well it's all right, riding around in the breeze Well it's all right, if you live the life you please Well it's all right, doing the best you can Well it's all right, as long as you lend a hand
You can sit around and wait for the phone to ring Waiting for someone to tell you everything Sit around and wonder what tomorrow will bring Maybe a diamond ring
(chorus 2) Well it's all right, even if they say you're wrong Well it's all right, sometimes you gotta be strong Well it's all right, as long as you got somewhere to lay Well it's all right, everyday is judgement day
Maybe somewhere down the road aways Youll think of me, and wonder where I am these days Maybe somewhere down the road when somebody plays Purple haze
(chorus 3) Well it's all right, even when push comes to shove Well it's all right, if you got someone to love Well it's all right, everythingll work out fine Well it's all right, were going to the end of the line
Don't have to be ashamed of the car I drive Im just glad to be here, happy to be alive It don't matter if you're by my side Im satisfied
(chorus 4) Well it's all right, even if you're old and grey Well it's all right, you still got something to say Well it's all right, remember to live and let live Well it's all right, the best you can do is forgiv
(chorus 5) Well it's all right, riding around in the breeze Well it's all right, if you live the life you please Well it's all right, even if the sun don't shine Well it's all right, were going to the end of the line [ Lyrics from: www.lyricsfreak.com/t/travelling+wilburys/end+of+the+line_20140462.html ]Dunno about you, ODT, but it fits in nicely, as far as I can see, with the rest of the scenario. It's a a song about accepting the end of something, being free and moving on. "maybe you'll think of me one day" etc. Then, the guy begins to remember their love story, told by the other tracks and finally,( just speculating, of course) is hoping to get back together by Track 13 "If You Say So".This is Damien's interpretation of The Wilbury's music, with his originals filling in story he's telling. I think the whole thing is really going to work well though. it's an upbeat opener too.

Oow, just had a brainwave!!! Looking at these lyrics and revising my previous interpretation, HE's the one who leaves and is doing the "RUN" ing!! SHE's saying "Let Me Be Your Rescue". He's only wanted a brief fling " I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" and "500 Reasons' is him deciding whether to stay or leave, which he does. And finally, he realizes he wants her back, wants a relationship. Yep, that makes better sense now. can't wait to find out if I'm right! ;D

This sounds terrific and like everyone else cannot wait to hear more.
Very interested in hearing how BEAUTIFUL 2012 sounds and how he does LEAH and HERE COMES THE SUN .
Not too long before it is released and hoping for worthwhile media coverage for the album.

Leah will be similar to how we have heard it in concert I would think. Damien has said at concerts that they recorded it after they settled on the album and was sorry he hadn't included it. I guess time will tell for that.
Beautiful 2012 is 'more piano driven' so as long as it has the nice ending and not the loud over the top prolonged ending that they used to do in the concerts then it should be great. I do like the 2 flute intro that is done in concert. I hope that is still there.
I wouldn't think you could alter Here Comes the Sun too much so it will be nice to hear the arrangement that Damien has for that one.

I hope that track-listing isn't in order - why would you open an album with End Of The Line??! My thoughts are...that "End of the Line" is the end of the Travelling Wilburys, and post Orbison, but the beginnings of Damien's interpretations of each band members song/songs and Beautiful being no 2 track listing is Damien's beginning and it goes from there ending with Damien's "Now". ;D

From the Sanity site: www.sanity.com.au/products/2209301/Now__Then_SIGNED_COPY2011 was an incredible year for Damien Leith. His album ‘Roy: A Tribute To Roy Orbison’ climbed the ARIA album charts to #2 and went on to achieve platinum sales. On top of this Damien went on a national theatre sell out Roy tour, was a finalist on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and hosted his own TV program. Continuing on from last year’s success Damien returns with his new album ‘Now & Then’, which picks up from where ‘Roy: A Tribute To Roy Orbison’ left off. The new album will consist of original songs and covers from each of the Travelling Wilburys and one classic Wilburys track ‘End of The Line’. The album ‘Now & Then’ showcases singer song talents of Damien whilst continuing to pay homage to Roy Orbison.

Wow, you are all way too complicated for me Just give me the album and let me listen, I don't care what order or what story. Each song is it's own story. Have ordered my copy from my local Sanity store, I have booked a day off on the 20th April and I can hardly wait......................!!! but alas, I must !
