It is lovely that Damien always acknowledges his damienites on each album ;D ;D thanks D Agree with Roxy on the 'Can't Get it Out of My Head' but probably because I loved the ELO version and thought this was too country, but we'll see Also found 500 Reasons way too country for me, but will probably go well in concert My absolute Favourite 'Let Me Be Your Rescue' bit of a tear jerker for me My next favourite is 'Maybe Someday' but not sure D will be able to put that sort of pressure on his voice too much in public Also like 'Run', very partial to the duet sound Of course love 'Beautiful' and 'Leah'....still deciding on some others....but right now I'm listening to LMBYR so it just gets to me like 'Don't Give Up' does

Well I still haven't had a chance to really listen properly to the album..but it'll be a few days before I can do that so I'll just say a few things. Despite not hearing them very often I have Let Me Be Your Rescue, Run, Maybe Someday, Unless you Say So & 500 Reasons running through my head and I find myself singing them throughout the day..and I don't even know all the words yet! A good sign I reckon that they are so catchy they become instantly memorable. Beautiful brings a tear to my eye..such a powerful arrangement..it just wrenches the heart. The Wilbury songs are fantastic! The pumping ones have me (in my mind) standing at a concert dancing and clapping..they are going to be perfect for the tour to get the crowd really jumping. The slower one's just showcase Damien's voice to perfection..God I love the rich timbre that has developed so much since Damien began this whole Roy adventure. Magnifique! Just hanging to get alone for a few hours so I can really let rip and devour the sound. XX Damien. You just keep getting better.

Damien Leith - OMG! you beautiful, increible human being. YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN! I'M BLOWN AWAY! FAVOURITES:Let Me Be Your Rescue! - LOVELOVELOVE! Right from the second I heard this on the previews I knew it would be one of my fave's. The lyrics are beautiful and the chorus sounds amazing! It definitely sends chills down my spine! I could see this being a single, or on Radio/tv soundtrack or something! ;D Maybe Someday! - STUNNING OMG! Now I know why you girls are raving about this song, my oh my! The best part of course is towards the end with that falsetto and high notes!! JAY-SUS, PICK ME UP OFF THE FLOORRRRRR Absolutely mind-blowing! Also very much Single/Radio/Tv Soundtrack material!!! Beautiful! - We all love the live version of course. But I'm really loving this paino driven version! It's so pretty and of course beautiful! This will always be one of my ultimate favourite Damien songs. Unless You Say So! - Wasn't sure about this one listening in the previews, BUT I'M LOVING THIS NOW! I love the start and how it slowly builds and then we hear the falsetto again. The chorus is a bit weird, but good weird! If that makes sense. I love it. Run! -I have a theory ... Does anyone remember when Damien posted on FB/twitter how he was going for a 'Run' and how he might get some inspiration? Well I think that's where he might of got this song from? But anyway, awesome song! I find this is one of the few that's stuck in my head... "DOOO YOU WANNAA RUNNN, DO YOU WANNA RUNNN, WITH MEEEEEEEEEEEE! WITH MEEEEEEEEEEEE" " I do love 500 reasons, but it's still one that's growing on me. As far as the covers go, Damien does an unbelievable job as always. My fave's out of the covers would have to be I Got My Mind Set On You (It's catchy as!) I Wont Back Down (Haha Trilly I keep singing it like we were today! inside joke ) and of course Leah ;D Oh! and Here Comes The Sun! Damien said so himself that he is proud of this album, and so he should be! Because it is really is outstanding and beautiful. Now of course I'm pumped for the tour in Sep, and tomorrow will be finding myself having withdrawls and wanting to see him perform those amazing songs. And one last thing - Shoutout to Stuart Crighton! You da man! ;D

A bit late however have had a good listen and:
First off love the back of the album with Damien looking at you with the camera and also the disc itself designed as an old vinyl record
My standouts
5 Stars Maybe Someday 4 Stars Let me be your rescue
4 Stars Run
4 Stars Beautiful 2012
3 Stars 500 Reasons
To me this is his best all round album or at worse equal to "ROY"
My favourite cover is LEAH but the originals are the headline grabbers here.
His voice seems to be getting stronger with each album and his falsetto has always been superb.
Terrific album

It seems this album has broad appeal. I've been pumping it lately (as you do) and today DD2 (early 20s) said that she really likes it. Of course with her Mum being a big fan it's kinda a secret (not any more, E!) So, along with DH, this family has voiced it's resounding approval. ;D

My eldest son who is a avid U2 fan has just called me to say that he thinks that "NOW & THEN" is even better than ROY.
When WWL come out I brought him a copy and he liked it very much but it was not until the ROY album that he said to me that he thought that Damien was even better than U2 and at the time this had me lost for words because I knew what a fan he was of this group.
He has since purchased every one of Damien's albums and the surprising thing is that the only one did was not wrapped in was RJ and that surprised me as I rate it third behind Roy and Now & Then with CTW the only one that I am not really into.
It is interesting to see who likes what but I suppose the majority through sales will decide the outcome as to the success or not of each album

Glad your son loves Now and Then Brian. It is a superb album in my opinion and Damien said at Eastland that he is very proud of this album, more than any he has done. However there will always be knockers and of course opinions are like bums... everybody has one. You can't please all the people all of the time. I just know I rate this album right up there with RJ - I wasn't fond of a couple of the covers at first but they have grown on me, the more I listen the more I want to hear. The originals are superb as is Damien's voice. He really hits the heights on this one. Luvs ya D

Well, that makes it unanimous. Was playing the album in the car on the way home today, our drive being just about long enough to finsih it, when DD3 said "I really like this album Mum, I think it's the best thing Damien has done". She's just back from a trip to Thailand and had not heard her sister's verdict. So, there ya go D, two twenty-something young ladies heartily approve of both the covers and your originals. s! Ha!
