Great re-cap Deb!! (only point I differ with is that you got me to steal the set list off the stage - longer arms and a pen did the dirty work!!)
I really really enjoyed the show last night, i thought it had a great lively vibe and it felt like there were heaps of originals, definitely more than I have heard in previous shows! I was pleased that Damien was confident enough to not just rely on his crowd's favourites!!
Running Scared and Hallelujah probably got the biggest response from the audience - those big notes just floor everybody - me included, no matter how many times I've heard them! It was a shame the Mandurah show was cancelled, but the venues are very close by - we Mandurah folks are used to travelling to the big smoke for a show! But I would have loved two shows in a row!
I love looking at the varied people who make up a front row - lots of women and two men in our case! The man who was sitting three up from me had his ear plugs in but he had a massive smile on his face the whole night! I think the front row were itching to get up to dance - I looked down at one stage and every foot was tapping!
While we were waiting to say hi to Damien, there were a couple just behind us and the man was getting teased by his female partner as she kept saying he had a 'man crush'. As I said to him, if you're going to have a man crush, Damien is worth having a crush on!!
Great night - thanks Deb for getting my ticket - can't wait for the next show!!
Sorry it's been so long since I've been on here - still think often of you all and of course Damien, just real life has been getting in the way!! Enjoy the rest of the tour ladies - I know you will!!
