How nice was it to be able to have the meet and greet too.

Here's hoping some other venues have the opportunity but of course I doubt it would be possible at all venues.

Just wanted to say I have my for the dates in February too!

Hope new Dad (congrats again!) Chris is able to get some rest between gigs. It's a busy time in a family's life with a little new one around, as Damien can attest to, however he's managed to find the energy from somewhere to perform his heart out, even with an expanding family. Energiser Bunny!

I had totally convinced myself there would be no meet & greet after tonight's show. But now I have a thread of hope . Although I think Adelaide might have got lucky coz the next night's show was cancelled in Mandurah. Was wondering whether he would take the opportunity to race back home for Jarvis' birthday on Fri, or wether he has been killing time in Adelaide or Perth.
I think he likes to take the 'red-eye' out of Perth after the show and then he is pretty much home by the time the family wakes up Sunday morning. Then he can make the quick transformation from rock star to daddy

Deb, he stayed late signing and I asked George if it was a sleep in the next morning. He said he had an afternoon flight but D was on the 6:45am out of Adelaide. Only good thing is that our airport is so close to the city and at that time of the morning it is only 15 mins to get there!

Mick McHugh

I also met Mick McHugh and had a CD signed, we spent a moment talking about harmonica playing as I'm a harmonica player too - I could talk about harmonica and the blues all day. Very friendly guy, so easy to talk to and would definitely go to his show next year again as he said he hopes he comes back to Adelaide around then.



Now a little story...

I was on Twitter and asked him if he'd consider playing Maybe Someday. He said absolutely as he loved the song (words close to that anyway) as I do as well.

So...I was waiting to see him and he stopped and said 'Hey, aren't you the one from Twitter who asked us to play...that...song?' I said that's me - and I said thank you for playing it. Then he said they almost didn't play it but they did. So I thought that was a great moment. But the whole show was excellent.

It gives you a real buzz doesn't it?

Mick is certainly an entertainer. I have seen him once before and he seemed like a really good bloke.
