I'm glad it wasn't just me. Maybe bad judgement having a bikky just prior to performing!!! I commented to Mr G that D's heart didn't seem to be in it today... he was just singing, no feeling like when he does his own original songs. The beautiful voice as always is there, very tuneful, pleasant but

I wish Damien would take the opportunity of pushing one of his new originals on these shows. Sure, there a couple which would only sound good with a full orchestra, but 500 reasons and Unless you Say so would be great and show people what he's capable of, both from a song writing and performance perspective. Love him anyway, and have been listening to N&T to and from the city today on the train!!! I tend to skip some of the covers, and play the originals twice or more. - they are so good!

Grrrr! I forgot to record this! But have watched on the Ch7 site.
I noticed not so much the singing but the fact that Damien didn't look down the camera like he usually does. That was one of the things that attracted me to him on Idol - I always felt he was singing to ME.
But a very nice performance, and interesting percussion from Steve.

That's exactly what I thought Kath. Usually when the camera gets in his face he gives you that cheeky little sideways smile with eyes that look right inside you, even if only for a split second . Well I guess there was something else on his mind today , you get that! And it is a very dull song, I think. Not a song you can do a lot with, but I hope he can come up with an idea to perk it up for the live shows.

Must confess, got more excited with the brief clip from TGTY But D always sounds great and yes missed the look down the barrel (so to speak) that look earnt him soooooo many votes on idol Larry and Kylie have excellent taste having D as guest, just think it would be nice to give enough time for a shortened version of a cover (if they must) and an original hmmmm I'm partial to that dessert too
