I agree with you guys. "D" did a good job but that particular song is not my favourite as it does not show off his vocal range but I guess its the most lively song on his record. Oh well! Hopefully he will get another chance to exhibit his talents soon.

Lets hope his appearance on the show last night helps sell N&T album as I cant see it in the ARIA top 50 albums list for 28/5/2012

Hmmm. This song is a bit of a mixed bag to perform live. On the one hand, it has a great live sound that makes people want to dance (I know I did when I saw him play it at Tuggerah!) On the downside, it's very repetitive, so structurally it has few points of interest and people can tire of it quickly. Maybe not the best song to use to impress. I think he just looked nervous - and I don't really blame him. Going back and performing on Idol was a bit the same, there's all the old associations with having been judged as a contestant. Must be stressful Still, I liked it - felt kinda nervous for him, but loved the ending. Plus, he's always so cute Next time, I'd like to see Maybe Someday or Let Me Be Your Rescue - crack out the new originals! I think this is on the money. The song does not allow him to take his voice to the various levels that we all know he can. He sang it well but I also wish he had sung one of the above mentioned songs. If he gets another chance go for it

I really feel there was a lost opportunity. Would have loved to hear an original Damien has got to start promoting his beautiful songs when he can.

Agree with pretty much all that's been said, but always nice to catch D singing on TV

Yes, I agree. I also didn't like the iighting much - a bit too orange for me. Plus I thought the music overpowered his vocals a bit. Still, no such thing as bad publicity and I loved the way Dan interacted with him.
