Damien Leith returns with new single "Run" - a duet with long-time friend and finalist on The Voice, Diana Rouvas.

"Run" was penned as the ultimate love song by the popular singer songwriter. Originally recorded for Leith's album NOW & THEN released earlier this year, RUN has been re-recorded to feature a vocal collaboration with Diana Rouvas.

Damien and Diana have been friends for over seven years - long before either of them came to fame on national television. Over the years Diana has supported Damien on various tours, the most recent being for Leith's upcoming State Theatre show in Sydney on Saturday October 6th.

Damien commented, "I've known Diana for a long time and not only is she an exceptional singer and performer, she's a great mate too. I'm thrilled to have been able to record with Diana, she has added real soul to the track."

Diana was equally pleased to record such a beautiful song with Damien. "Run is such a beautiful song and it was an honor to record it with Damien. He is one of my dearest friends and it's been such a joy to work with him on this track."

Wow, when I read about this I was like it's awesome that D gets to release another single from this album and record it with Diana as well, Run is a brilliant song! can't wait for it's release! ;D

I just adore the song and the album version. If the single has as good a sound I'm sure I'll love this one too.

Thanks Braffy, I really love this version, Diana does add something and the vocals from both are just superbly beautiful.
But what the hell??? Whoever makes Damien's videos should be shot, drawn and quartered... what's the go with all the walking?
At least they should have been running or walking together!!
Hopefully next video release will have a little more imagination.
Must be a tight budget!

I agree re the vocals Glawz. Diana definitely brings a dynamic presence to the song. Her smooth lower and that killer upper reg are great as well as their lovely harmonies. I want to hear them duet a LOT more.

As for the vid, well I guess they didn't want to be too literal, but again, D is walking/ running. :-/I love the hopeful, searching expression on his face though and they've really flattered him with the night lighting. LOVE what he's wearing too. D in dark colours, swoon! Too many shots of the back of his head for my liking though. There are some killer screen shots of him to be had from this vid, however. I like the shot of him running down the flight of stairs seen through the glass. ;D

I guess budget is always an issue, but this one works for me. One minor thing. At one point, very briefly, the vid seems to be incongruent with what they're showing Diana singing and what we're hearing. Overall, it's pretty cool, IMO.

PS. Watching it again, there's one profile shot that is just dynamite of D! (around 1.11) (bags it for a siggie!)

PPS I like it more and more. They sound so great together. I almost feel as though I'm hearing and watching an international act. They really should be, they're both so damned talented!
