Fans set for idol performance as Damien Leith takes to RSL stage
FROM Australia Idol in 2006 to stages around the country, Damien Leith has always delivered with his performances.
Fresh from his Roy Orbison tribute tour and accompanying album, Leith is hitting the road again to bring his latest show The Hits to Campbelltown RSL Club on February 22.
"We are celebrating the last six years, when I have released six albums, so we are picking key moments from those," Leith told the Macarthur Chronicle.
The musician and songwriter said he was excited to return to the Macarthur region. "Last time I played there I had a fantastic audience and we had a full house and it was a really energetic show," he said. "I'm hopeful this time will be the same."
Leith, who is working on a new album, book and plenty of new songs for himself and others, hopes to bring some cheer to the region with his show at 8.30pm.
"The vibe is going to be upbeat and light," he said.
"We just want people to come and have a good night and step out of the world for a few hours. There will be classic songs from people you know very well, including some of my own songs.
"We always have fun at the shows, always cracking jokes and it's about having a good time."
