Even in this short snippet, I CAN STOP YOU CRYING, stopped me in my tracks! It is one of those D songs that makes me cup my hands on my cheeks, close my eyes and melt away! Loved SUPERMAN from the first time I heard D sing it live.

SQUUEEEEE!    Am loving the previews so far!!  This is a truly Damien album. His gorgeous voice, (power, depth, tone and range to die for!) emotional delivery, superb melodies, touching lyrics and awesome arrangements come shining through, even in the snippets! Don't think I've heard him sounding better either!  Faves so far for me: Last Sad Song

WELL!!! I have to say I'm not Happy!!! ....NOT happy at all!!  Seriously....I've been listening to the snippets and..... We have to wait til November!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!  I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WHOLE ALBUM!  I need it NOW!!! Damien you have done an amazing job, if those snippets are anything to go by..then this is going to be an amazing album! you've done yourself proud, and I feel so proud as well! Oh I SO AGREE, Roxles! Waiting a whole nother MONTH for this album is just plain torture! At least we have the iTunes previews to keep us going but they're incomplete  I start singing along, or getting into the groove and it stops! Waaah! 
Still, I guess lots of people will have the chance to listen and pre-order Chapter Seven whilst we cool our heels.. But it's really really hard for  s like us!  |

Hello. Have I said recently HOW MUCH I WANT THIS ALBUM? I have? Well, dammit, I'm going to say it again!  The more I listen to the previews the more I'm loving what I'm hearing/have heard live. This album is the BEST THING DAMIEN HAS EVER DONE!! I'm feeling it bigtime! I love RJ but now when I listen to it I hear Stu's production more than I hear Damien. Chapter Seven is different. It has an astounding reality to it, an authenticity which feels absolutely right. Even the co-writes have D's emotional stamp all over them. There is a contemporary feel to this collection of songs, but a timelessness too about it which to me is quintessentially Damien. His voice still has his trademark purity of timbre, but these are the songs of a mature singer/songwriter who has honed his craft and has now produced HIS kind of sound. I cannot wait to have this album on repeat next month! |
