Princey, I thoroughly agree, all great songs, and probably like those best too, although Stronger than Superman has me in tears, second verse about your kids growing up and leaving to find their own way... strikes home, even though our girls have been out of here for years. It is hard to pick favs they are all so good, brilliant album.

No doubt about the brilliance of this album but it just came at a bad time for me, so I am slowly warming to new songs everyday. I can stop... was my instant favourite, love Stonger than... but actually prefer the more up tempo live version which gives it a bit more of an Irish feel. Love Never Forget and I still hear Andy's voice in it when ever it plays. DD13, has her own musical tastes now, but can't stop singing along! Really loving it all but still learning the words to a lot of it! Spent too many hours curled up in the silence of my darkened room of late

It's late, I can't sleep, too much on my mind so instead I'll just say here again how much I love this album. I love its heart, its passion , its authenticity and its beauty.
One song which typifies this, I feel, is Stronger Than Superman, D's own composition. The lyric touches and amazes me, it is so lovely and so insightful from a young father.
"We've been young and we've been old The mirror on the wall has watched us grow Now our children are children no more As they sail away we watch them set their own course With tears in our eyes We find the strength to share a smile And know we've done our best to help them on their way"
Any parents of an adult child can relate. D's almost prescient wisdom is remarkably moving, showing as it does his Irish musical influence, which comes through very strongly in this song, in the sentiment and the melody, even in the arrangement and his vocal . It's gorgeous folkiness is perfect.
"And it's a long way, even further Than the eyes of man can see With each sunset we grow closer than we've ever been"
Closer together as a couple and closer to Heaven perhaps. Such wonderful lines!
Then the chorus, such a beautiful evocation of the sustaining power of love.
"Cos when your love is real You'll find your way through anything You're made of steel, no hurricanes will blow you down Standing tall, while walls turn to sand, When your love is real You're stronger than Superman"
Don't know why I ever ( even briefly) thought these lyrics were corny. They're not, they're simply straight from the heart. If this were the only song I liked on Chapter Seven I'd be happy with the album because it's so brilliant, but if course it isn't, I like them all.
PS. Just read your post, Deb. it seems this song is affecting a few of us right now. Hug. Get better soon.

A Million Reasons. This is a fantastic song! When Damien introduced it at Redcliffe the crowd went ballistic at the first line and were with him all the way. While it starts of a little playful it soon develops into a beautiful declaration of love. Gives me goosebumps. sending hugs to Deb.
