Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Damien Leith will take his forthcoming album Chapter Seven on the road with a national Australian Tour beginning in Perth on Thursday 31st October. The show will be an intimate acoustic setting and will feature all his new songs as well as some of the songs he's well-known for. Audiences will be treated to beautifully crafted songs, some he even wrote with legendary Joe Melson who wrote Roy Orbison's Crying and Only the Lonely.
"I'm really looking forward to taking these songs on the road and getting out to places I haven't been to in a while," said Damien.
The "Without A Fight" Tour will travel to Australian capital cities and regional centres, including Perth, Joondalup, Mandurah, Gold Coast, Redcliffe, Brisbane, Mudgee, Katoomba, Cronulla, Wollongong, Launceston, Hobart, Canberra, Melbourne, Nowra, Taree, Port Macquarie and Sydney.
Chapter Seven is Damien's seventh album since 2006. The acoustic pop and folk release represents an exciting new direction for the Irish-born Australian. Two years in the making, the album will be Damien's first as a producer and first with independent Sydney-based label Social Family Records. Damien penned 12 new original tracks for the album, which he recorded in Sydney in a studio he built himself.
Famed producer and sound engineer David Nichola - who has worked with luminaries from Elton John to INXS - mixed Chapter Seven and co-produced some of the tracks. Other great hit makers such as Gary Clark (Natalie Imbruglia, The Wanted, The Veronicas) and Jon Vella (Meatloaf, Ricky Martin) have added their touch to the album along with legendary Nashville-based songwritter Joe Melson. Famed for penning a string of rhythm and blues hits with the one and only Roy Orbison, Joe Melson has become a close friend and mentor to Damien.
Don't miss this unique and special opportunity to see one of Australia's most loved entertainers.

HI again, Wow what a busy tiring couple of days, you can tell we are getting older LOL. This show was a little bit quieter, not as full, but quite spread out. I have one grip...no advertising anywhere in the place! not a one! for a venue that is probably rolling in money (Home of the Broncos) you would think they would advertise better! This place had a few tables in the middle of the chair seating, where you could have a cheese platter and glass of wine. For some dumb reason, I thought the tickets were really expensive, thinking it was for each person, but it was $176 for a table of 4!! Oh well, will read the terms better next time. Same as for the Mon Komo show, Damien sang a huge chunk of C7, which was really good and went down really well again. This crowd were a bit more laid back (aka a lot older crowd). So I had a feeling a few of the old songs would appear from requests! I didn't have to wait long and someone called out for Danny boy when D asked for requests. He was a cheeky bugger and said he'd do that one for the person who asked for it and for the (pointing at us) ladies in the front! hahahahaha. He sang it well, as he always does of course and it made someone very happy so all good. We weren't going to call out a request as our requests not always get sung, so we were a bit quiet this time, (we seem to chose the wrong songs for requests lol) until finally after Damien asking for quite a while, Smiley called out for Creep, (I'd called it out the night before but he didn't play it) so it was so good when Damien sang it! Seriously it was AMAZING!!! he tore the roof off with it, and had people clapping before he'd even finished it (at the end note). WOW!! Thanks D for that one, love your originals but this is up there when it comes to the covers. He also sang Catch the wind, Hallelujah, Crying, and he throws in a song to mix it up with (I think) Last sad song. I won't tell, as it will be a nice surprise when you hear it. Damien said the in store in Melbourne went well and that he was tired..I don't blame him, what a schedule!! This show didn't rock out like Redcliffe, but it was great all the same. It's pretty sad when it all comes to an end though....I keep looking at the clock thinking should I go to the Sharks Show this arvo! but I have so much to do and am so so tired, I don't think I'll make it! It has been great catching up with Smiley again, and I took a Damien virgin along last night and she thoroughly loved it. I purchased Andy Browns CD last night too, some of his songs are pretty cool. Thanks for a great few nights D, it's been magical and let's hope you won't take another 2 years to get back to us. Even if you did the one show at Redcliffe (they seem to love him up there) that would be awesome! We are all very proud of you for going independent, and producing such a polished album. Good luck

Thanks for the great report, Miss Roxabaloxa Bananabender! Don't blame either you nor D for being knackered after your gruelling few days. Wow, Creep! Agree completely with you that it is one of D's absolute lung-ripper covers. On the rare occasions he does it the hairs on the back of my neck still stand up. Brilliant he sang it for you guys. Bahaha, funny he dedicated Danny Boy to the s . Cos, ya know, we all have to hear THAT one again. *cough* We do know people love it though. Awesome hearing that the new songs are being so well received. They should be, they're D's best so far. So pleased people are enjoying them. Have a well deserved rest now, old girl hehee.. and look after yourself.
