Multi-platinum singer / songwriter Damien Leith will take his forthcoming album Chapter Seven on the road with a national Australian Tour beginning in Perth on Thursday 31st October. The show will be an intimate acoustic setting and will feature all his new songs as well as some of the songs he's well-known for. Audiences will be treated to beautifully crafted songs, some he even wrote with legendary Joe Melson who wrote Roy Orbison's Crying and Only the Lonely.
“I'm really looking forward to taking these songs on the road and getting out to places I haven't been to in a while,” said Damien.
The “Without A Fight” Tour will travel to Australian capital cities and regional centres, including Perth, Joondalup, Mandurah, Gold Coast, Redcliffe, Brisbane, Mudgee, Katoomba, Cronulla, Wollongong, Launceston, Hobart, Canberra, Melbourne, Nowra, Taree, Port Macquarie and Sydney.
Chapter Seven is Damien’s seventh album since 2006. The acoustic pop and folk release represents an exciting new direction for the Irish-born Australian. Two years in the making, the album will be Damien’s first as a producer and first with independent Sydney-based label Social Family Records. Damien penned 12 new original tracks for the album, which he recorded in Sydney in a studio he built himself.
Famed producer and sound engineer David Nicholas – who has worked with luminaries from Elton John to INXS - mixed Chapter Seven and co-produced some of the tracks. Other great hit makers such as Gary Clark (Natalie Imbruglia, The Wanted, The Veronicas) and Jon Vella (Meatloaf, Ricky Martin) have added their touch to the album along with legendary Nashville-based songwriter Joe Melson. Famed for penning a string of rhythm and blues hits with the one and only Roy Orbison, including Only The Lonely and Crying, Joe Melson has been writing with Damien for some time now and Joe has become a close friend and mentor to Damien.
Andy Brown /andybrownmusicon YouTube Canadian folk-rock artist Andy Brown will return to our shores this October through to December to showcase his new album Tinman, joining Damien Leith on tour alongside performances at the Sydney Blues & Roots Festival. He began his Australian journey debuting at Woodfork Folk Festival in January 2013, receiving an enthusiastic response to his heartfelt, engaging songs and stunning rock tinged melodies.

Ok 3rd attempt, testing 1,2,3. WOWEE, totally awesome night. We left my place at 4 and eventually arrived at destination 6pm, Gold Coast traffic, and that was only on the Coast. Conned a nice man into swiping his card so our meals wouldn't be as expensive, which he did. Ty. Ok now the setting was very intimate some would say seductive. Candles on tables, people trying to get closest table. Small crowd but room was full, even bought in more chairs. Bar near us, always a good sign. Andy came out and at first you couldn't see him, so he introduced himself as Damien, but we all knew different. He was very good, a voice that is easy to listen to. Like Damien jokes and connects with audience. Shocked when one young lady said she was from Fredericton and knee his mum and dad. Joking around . Lights still very dim. He mentioned that Damien was not here yet after about 4 songs. Knew he would be cutting it fine. Andy finished and lights went out and bit of noise. As if by magic Damien was standing there and that's what the crowd wanted. Big roar. He talked about album and had a lot of fun messing around with new technology which was so funny. Eric was really enjoying this and keeping Damien going with all funny things. First song Halfway Heart. Not sure in order of others. Ok See you again, Rollicking toe tapping Lonely Nights, the last sad song which got everyone clapping too. Talked about Joe Melson and then Sang only the lonely before I Can stop you crying, which even stopped the bar man from working. Big applause. A million reasons, Andy joined him for Never Forget, that was beautiful . More joking then asked for requests. Crying lots but some one yelled something Irish, so he did and some got up dancing the jig in the front. Damien clapped them . Hallelujah which bought the house down, audience oh oo ah into Without A Fight, which sounded awesome live, more rollicking. Said goodnight and left. Crowd yelling, whistling for more . Thumping tables the bar man even joined in banging the bar table. It was like a riot. They came back and Faith No More, so love that song then Pretty woman which really got the crowd going. Then it was over. Andy, Eric and Damien signed, chatted and had pics taken. Had a good chat to him and he was disappointed that no radio play after all his interviews he did, even mentioned Hot Tomato. Gave him a hug and told him Album no 4 at Sanity Runaway Bay. Big smile then. Lots of pics getting taken. My new fans were very delighted to meet him and pics done. He apologised for not coming up this way for 2 years as was pointed out to him by audience. He was looking tired and I think lost weight. Oh when he took his jacket off people were telling keep going which Eric thought was funny. Thoroughly loved the show, thanks Damien, Eric and Andy Xxxxx(stars).

I am so in love with Our Damien! Have just got home after a rather extended trip ( which had a heap of other stuff happening besides Damo, hence no reports yet!) Sooo hopefully I'll get a chance to report later tonight or in the morning. It goes without saying Damo is a legend!

OK. Tara has given a great report! Rox and I got to this one late-ish after going to the Hyperdome first. We tried to cadge a lift with Damien from there but no..no room! So we raced him there... When we got there Andy had already sung one song, so we snuck up to the front and dragged our chairs with us!! Andy was great and by the third night we could sing along with all his songs! Now to teh man. I hadn't had much chance to listen to Chapter 7 that often before the shows but when Damien sang them they sounded like old friends. Amazing. And so beautiful live. Perfect songs that make the transition from recorded to live EXTREMELY well. I think I also "heard" more live..the lyrics the melodies, the stories. Just gorgeous. So night one was a brilliant teaser for the next show...drove Roxy home and made it back to my place about 1:30 am! (actually I'm not really sure what time it was cause I was still on NSW time so I get a bit confused!)
