"After dominating the Eurovision Song Contest in the 1990s Ireland have struggled in recent years. Nevertheless we go 10/1 that they raise their game in 2007 and win the competition for an eighth time. Meanwhile, Damien Leith is 3/1 to notch up a No.1".

Yippee. Ladbrokes are into it as well. I've already placed a bet on PaddyPower on Damien getting a No. 1 - but they were only offering 2 to 1 odds as I recall. You know, I made a tonne of money out of Sportingbet here in Australia with Damo winning Australian Idol! *races off to Ladbrokes*

How do you do it, Dede? Maybe we should all place bets before the odds drop...? ;D

Yep - I've just put $50 at 3:1 for a UK No. 1 during 2007 - come on Damo - a whole 12 months to make me $200 (to add to the tally of reimbursements for my mammoth voting expenditure). Made $300 on the Idol win out of Sportingbet.
*did I mention I got my Vodafone account for the AI Finals period and it was a f**king Book! there were so many pages of voting*

I would love to have money on him but I am not in a position to be that daring.
Did I mention previously that I backed the trifecta in the Melbourne Cup?
