Leith to play intimate show at Roth’s
Nov. 8, 2013, 4 a.m.
damien Leith will perform songs from his newest album at the Mudgee Brewery next week.
Known best for his win on Australian Idol, Irish-Australian singer Damien Leith has taken a step away from his reality TV show roots and will present a series of intimate shows for the first time in six years.
During these intimate shows, fans will experience Leith performing songs on keys and guitar. The popular Irishman will be performing favourite hit songs from his seven albums and popular songs across all generations in the show.
“The Man & His Music” will travel to Mudgee on November 13 for a one off show at Roth’s Wine Bar.
With his seventh studio album on the horizon, Damien Leith is feeling more inspired than he’s ever been as he enters a new and exciting phase of his career.
Damien’s new chapter is a story of independence, and a new direction.
The Irish-born troubadour recorded Chapter Seven in a studio he built himself. The result is a poetic collection of beautifully crafted songs that showcase Damien’s vocals and song writing skills like never before. What’s more, this time Damien takes control on the recording and production front too.
“I’ve never been this strongly involved on all sides of a project, from the writing, the production, the mixing; everything,” Damien says. ‘I’ve worked countless hours on this album, often losing track of time and being totally consumed by the music. It’s been such a rewarding and exciting experience.”
Naturally, Damien has been drawing inspiration from The Big O, the artist who served as a creative well for his hit 2010 album Roy – A Tribute to Roy Orbison. That said, the main inspiration behind the album came from his studio and from experimenting with sounds and working away in a new creative space.
'The Man & His Music” will feature Leith’s hallmark voice and the opportunity for the singer to interact with the audience and present the stories behind the penning of his hit songs. Leith will also tell of what made him fall in love with the classic cover songs he performs - where it all started on Idol with songs like Crying, Hallelujah and Nessun Dorma to his own original compositions with hits such as Beautiful, Good Night and To Get To You.
Don’t miss this truly one off opportunity to hear Leith’s uniquely inspiring voice in intimate mode. Tickets are available now from Roth’s.
